COMMISSIONERS' COURT
SPECIAL MEETING
JANUARY 13, 1981
A special meeting of the Commissioners' Court of Brazos
County, Texas was held in the Commissioners' Courtroom in the
Brazos County Courthouse in Bryan, Brazos County, Texas, begin-
ning at 9 00 A M on Tuesday, January 13, 1981, with the follow-
ing members of the Court present
R J. Holmgreen, County Judge, presiding.
Bill J. Cooley, Commissioner of Precinct 1,
Walter Wilcox, Commissioner of Precinct 2;
Billy E. Beard, Commissioner of Precinct 3;
W A. Stasny, Commissioner of Precinct 4,
Frank Boriskie, County Clerk.
The following citizens and officials were in attendance.

The County Judge opened the meeting and announced the
purpose of this meeting was to consider the APPLICATION TO CANCEL
MASSAGE PERMIT for the MASSAGE PARLOR PERMIT issued to Robert
J. Goodman, doing business as the Lions Den, and MASSAGER PER-
MITS issued to Debra Sadler Sloan, Sandra Lee Alwell, Robin
Lynn Jackson and Ramona Lee Wicker.
William R. Vance was present to act as legal counsel for
the Commissioners' Court.

Travis B. Bryan, III, District Attorney was present in
support of the application,
Robert J. Goodman was present in person and represented
by his legal counsel Mr. John Knoff,
Mr. Knoff presented a motion to abate the hearings, stating
that the Commissioners' Court did not have proper authority to
hold such a hearing, which motion was denied by the Court
The Court heard evidence as presented and arguments by
both oides.
The County Judge announced that the question before the
Court was to grant or deny the APPLICATION TO CANCEL MASSAGE
PERMITS at which time Commissioner Cooley moved to cancel the
MASSAGE OPERATORS PERMIT issued to Robert J. Goodman doing
business as the Lions Den, and all MASSAGERS PERMITS issued
to massagers employed by the Lions Den, and the MASSAGERS PER-
MITS for Debra Sadler Sloan, Sandra Lee Alwell, Robin Lynn
Jackson and Ramona Lee Wicker. The motion was seconded by
Commissioner Beard and carried unanimously, whereupon the
County Judge announced the motion carried.
It is therefore ordered that the Massage Operators Permit
heretofore issued to Robert J Goodman doing business as the
Lions Den is hereby cancelled and the Massagers Permits issued
to massagers doing business under the Lions Den Permit for Debra
Sadler Sloan, Sandra Lee Alwell, Robin Lynn Jackson and Romana
Lee Wicker are hereby cancelled.
Mr Knoff stated, on behalf of his client, Robert J
Goodman, exceptions to the ruling and order of the Commissioners'
Court and gave notice of appeal to the proper Court within
thirty days
There being no further business to come before the Court,
the meeting was adjourned.
