The Court next discussed rescheduling the public hearing
for the 1981 Budget, On motion by Commissioner Cooley, seconded
by Commissioner Wilcox, the Court unanimously voted to reset
the public hearing on Wednesday, November 5, 1980 at 10 00 A.M.
and ordered the following notices be published in the manner
prescribed by law
"NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON
FEDERAL REVENUE SHARING PLANNED USE"
Notice is hereby given that the Brazos County Commissioners'
Court will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, November 5,
1980, at 10 00 A M. in the Brazos County Courthouse in Bryan,
Texas, for the purpose of discussing the planned use of Revenue
! Sharing Funds in the amount of $115,000.00. All expenditures
of General Revenue Sharing Funds allocated to Brazos County
are to be used in compliance with existing laws relating to
the expenditures of these funds. Planned use of Revenue
Sharing Funds are set forth in the Brazos County Budget for
the year 1981 on file in the office of the County Clerk.

All citizens of Brazos County shall have the opportunity to
provide written and /or oral comments on the planned use of
funds and are hereby invited to participate in this hearing.

On motion by Commissioner Cargill, seconded by Commissioner
Stasny, the Court unanimously approved the application as

The Court next heard a request from John Barron, Jr.,
County Attorney, to appoint two Assistant County Attorneys,
Lowell Denton and Charles K. Bluntzer, to prosecute appeal
cases from the Municipal Courts of the two cities After
much discussion Commissioner Wilcox moved to table this item
until such time as the Court could discuss it with Judge Amis.
Motion was seconded by Commissioner Cargill, with Commissioners
Wilcox, Cargill and Stasny voting "Aye" Commissioner Cooley
voted "No ", whereupon the County Judge announced the motion
carried.
Next to be considered was the following Notice of Proposed
Installation in County Rights -Of -Way as follows
1 Lone Star Gas Company to install a natural gas
service line across the right -of -way of Cedarwood
Drive in Precinct 4
On motion by Commissioner Stasny, seconded by Commissioner
Cooley, the Court unanimously approved the application as

zation file.
There being no further business to come before the Court,
the meeting was adjourned.

BRAZOS COUNTY ELECTION BOARD
MEETING - SEPTEMBER 29, 1980
A meeting of the Brazos County Election Board was held i
on Monday, September 29, 1980 at 10 00 A.M. in the County
Judge's Chambers in the Brazos County Courthouse, Bryan,
Texas with the following persons present.
R. J. Holmgreen, County Judge,
Frank Boriskie, County Clerk,
Jim Beamer, Administrative Deputy, Sheriff's Office;
Katie Kowierschke, Chairman, Republican Party;
Neeley C. Lewis, Chairman, Democratic Party;
Bill McLeod, Texas Voting Systems, Consultant.
The County Judge presented the committee with a sample
copy of the ballot for their consideration and comments.
Questions regarding the name on the ballot for Associate;
Justice Court of Civil Appeals, District 1, Place 3, affidavit
of lost registrations were discussed and resolved.
The committee was advised that only Declared Right -In
Candidates could be counted at this election.
The County Judge announced that a school of instructions
would be held for election judges and the benefit of all
interested persons on Thursday, October 30, 1980 at 7 00 P.M.
at the Brazos Center.
Neeley Lewis moved that the ballot, supplies and delivery
of equipment as contracted for by the Commissioners' Court be
ratified. The motion was seconded by Katie Kowierschke with
all members voting "Aye"
