I • it � y 7 4 � COMMISSIONERS' COURT MEETING - AUGUST 11, 1980 CONTINUED On motion by Commissioner Stasny, seconded by Commissioner Cargill, the minutes of the meetings held July 14, and July 28, 1980, were examined and approved without change The Court next considered the appointment of an election judge for voting precinct 23 for the current voting year. On motion by Commissioner Cargill, seconded by Commissioner Cooley, the Court unanimously voted to appoint Helen Montgomery as election fudge due to the resignation of Jerry Barton The Court next heard a presentation by Don Ladewig, Chairman of the Recreational Facilities Advisory Committee, on recommended improvements to the Rodeo Arena - Pavilion on Tabor Road and the Brazos Center The first recommendation was a sign for the Brazos Center at an approximate cost of $4,000 00 The other recommendation was restrooms and wash racks being constructed for the facility on Tabor Road at an approximate cost of $36,000 00 The County Judge suggested that Commissioners Wilcox and Cooley look into the restroom project and Commissioners Cargill and Stasny investigate the sign and all bring back recommendations to Court The Court next heard a presentation by Jack Cumpton, Architect, on final floor plans for the Courthouse annex On motion by Commissioner Wilcox, seconded by Commissioner Cargill, the Court unanimously approved the plans and budget in the amount of $360,000 The Court next considered the renewal of Brazos County's insurance policies and the payment of the premium On motion by Commissioner Cooley, seconded by Commissioner Wilcox, the Court unanimously voted to pay the premium in the amount of $2,732 00 The Court next received and opened the following bids for the sale of one flat bed truck for Precinct 2 1 Johnnie L Crocker - $150 00 2 W T Clare - $146 00 3 Marian Carter - $137 50 ,i -� - - -- _,v 'tiN� i rc�.°- arse l- i.^ x�,,.. aMimF >"'^tt�'�cVS�iXl�4+*.x•�bEfr Y�YFr:•uwr•s�r. 3t.a• ^j'�"q.'T' Pot -��.'r �1K.-+�o^:r'.`�.1�'t �x�w:.�t.+a�t1'. COMMISSIONERS' COURT MEETING - AUGUST 11, 1980 CONTINUED Vol - 0 FA,GE T12 On motion by Commissioner Wilcox, seconded by Commissioner Cooley, the Court unanimously voted to sell the truck to the highest bidder On motion by Commissioner Cooley, seconded by Commissioner Wilcox, the Court unanimously voted to advertise for bids for services, supplies, repairs, and maintenance in connection with the General Election to be held November 4, 1980 Next to be considered were the following Notices of Pro- posed Installation in County Rights -Of -Way as follows 1 Texas Municipal Power Agency proposes to install a 345 kV transmission line over the right -of -way of a School House Road b Macey Road c House Cemetery Road d Jack Creek Road e Kurten Lane f Democrat Crossing On motion by Commissioner Wilcox, seconded by Commissioner Cargill, the Court unanimously approved the applications as submitted 2. Brushy Water Supply Corporation proposes to place pipes, mains and conductors, and all other fixtures across the rights -of -way as shown on the map On motion by Commissioner Cargill, seconded by Commissioner Stasny, the Court unanimously approved the application subject to the applicant completing the required County forms 3 Ferguson Crossing Pipe Line Company proposes to place two gas pipelines in the rights -of -way of a Fountain Swith Road & Homola Road b Britten Road - Ferguson will pay $20 00 per rod for a total of $260 06 to be used on this road only. On motion by Commissioner Stasny, seconded by Commissioner Cooley, the Court unanimously approved the application-as submitted.
