SAYERS, CONSTABLE PRECINCT 7, PLACE 1 FEES ------------ $ 110 00 THE BRAZOS CENTER ------------------------------------------- $ 4,737 87 i IBM i I � I �IJ 1 � 4 1,J �/ r r � � � _ + � . � h•w 1 of •_ ,yn.� - -/ � �Iy'�� -�. •. icm'C �"' ="°• 'r�T 71F`" •''7T:- �- ..•- -^ � �.J�., �r-•- cn.'ei" "'+'F?�"rl^/r'.�'t"�'�r t f ' ) � • J 'y ... ..- 1 �i -- r .�j�� ... - ' - - - _rte rte..- r..i'�� .l � 4Ni +l.r �.J+��f►_4.! -.+.. s ! ., A ♦ y , i ,v COMMISSIONERS' COURT MEETING - JUNE 9, 1980 CONTINUED w` � P 1 1 ) IR y' On motion by Commissioner Stasny, seconded by Commissioner Cargill, the minutes of the meetings held May 12, May 19, and -May 27, 1980 were examined and approved without change On motion by Commissioner Stasny, seconded by Commissioner Wilcox, the Court unanimously voted to appoint William R Vance to the MHMR Board of Directors to fill the vacancy of Thelma Van Overbeek The Court next discussed a contract between the Texas Youth Council and Brazos County for the placement of juveniles to the Texas Youth Council, such contract to be for a three (3) month period beginning June 1, 1980 through August 31, 1980 On motion by Commissioner Wilcox, seconded by Commissioner Cooley, the Court unanimously voted to approve the contract and passed the following resolution Whereas, the Commissioners' Court of Brazos County desires to improve the quality of services available to juveniles in the said county, and Whereas, the Texas Youth Council has proposed a Con- tract with Brazos County to provide financial assis- tance to the said county in consideration of the county's undertaking to reduce commitments of juveniles to the Youth Council, and Whereas, a copy of the proposed Contract, which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference for all purposes whatsoever, has been reviewed by the members of the Commissioners' Court, Now, therefore, Be It Resolved by the Commissioners' Court of Brazos County Texas, that the proposed Contract with the Texas Youth Council be, and the same is hereby, Approved, and Be it further resolved that County Judge R J Holmgreen is authorized to sign the said Contract on behalf of the Commissioners' Court The Court next considered a request by the County Auditor to destroy miscellaneous records in accordance with Article 1651 of the Vernon Civil Statutes On motion by Commissioner Cooley, seconded by Commissioner Stasny, the Court unanimously voted to destroy the following records 1) Tax Receipts Books, 1954 -1969, 2) Road and Bridge General Paid bills, 1961 -1969, 3) General Fund Bills Paid, 1968 -1969, 4) Car Title Reports, 1969, 5) Earnings Record Pay Roll, 1968 -1969, 6) Auditor's Copy Tax Receipts, 1968 -1969, 7) Federal Tax Reports 941A & 941E Returns, 1968 -1969 �r r OMMISSIONERS' Y,/ COURT MEETING - JUNE 9, 1980 CONTINUED Y ®L„ 0 PAGES- I= The Court next considered Amendments to the 1980 Budget. ' 1 On motion by Commissioner Wilcox, seconded by Commissioner Stasny, the Court unanimously approved the Amendments to the 1980 Budget, a copy of which is attached to and made a part of these minutes The Court next considered bids received for two (2) vehicles for the Sheriff's office. The following bids were received 1 Tom Light Chevrolet - $13,358 18 or $6,679 09 each 2 Halsell Motor Company - No Bid 3 Beal Ford - $6,785 00 each, delivery in 60 days or $6,679 00 for 1 vehicle, immediate delivery The County Judge moved to accept the lowest bidder and to purchase one (1) car Motion was seconded by Commissioner Cooley and carried unanimously On motion by Commissioner Cooley, seconded by Commissioner Stasny, the Court unanimously approved Requests For Change In Status Of Employees as follows James M McKinney Ronald G Huddleston Henry McDade John Gorney Holly Elaine Coulter Lorraine Gilmore Donald Price Steve Rodriquez Charles R.
