SPECIAL MEETING

MAY 19, 1980
A special meeting of the Commissioners' Court of Brazos
County, Texas, was held in the Commissioners' Courtroom in the
Courthouse in Bryan, Brazos County, Texas, beginning at 10 00
A M. on Monday, May 19, 1980, with the following members of
the Court present:
R J Holmgreen, County Judge, presiding
Bill J Cooley, Commissioner of Precinct 1,
Walter Wilcox, Commissioner of Precinct 2,
H L Cargill, Commissioner of Precinct 3,
W A Stasny, Commissioner of Precinct 4,
Frank Boriskie, County Clerk
The following citizens and officials were in attendance

Jim Bland, Sr Industrial Fire Equipment Co , Inc
T. L Payne Brazos County Firefighters Assoc
The Court considered bids for equipment for the rural
fire departments that had been received at the May 12, 1980
meeting and referred to a committee for their review Com-
missioner Wilcox reported that the bid of W A Neel, Associates
on all items requested was low, with the exception of six (6)
flame -proof brooms which were $11 00 higher that all other bids
In view of these findings Commissioner Wilcox moved to accept
'
the bid of W A Neel, Associates Motion was seconded by
Commissioner Cooley and carried unanimously
The Court discussed the setting of a time for the Court
to convene as the Board of Equalization All members agreed
that Monday and Tuesday, July 21 and 22, 1980 would be the
time set for this purpose
There being no further business to come before the Court,
the County Judge announced the meeting adjourned
