J. Holmgreen, County Judge, presiding Bill J. Cooley, Commissioner of Precinct 1, Walter Wilcox, Commissioner of Precinct 2, H L Cargill, Commissioner of Precinct 3, W A Stasny, Commissioner of Precinct 4, Frank Boriskie, County Clerk. The following citizens and officials were in attendance. Dawn Scotte Furguson WTAW News Jane Mills Smith The Eagle Debbie Ramsey KBTX -TV Jim Carlton Houston Chronicle Phyllis Presley KAGC Radio Tony Lapaglia, Sr Citizen Bob Goodman Lion's Den W D Burley District Clerk Gerald Farrar Citizen Bill Davie KAMU -TV John Sneed KAMU -TV Dan Williams Citizen Janet Newcomb Citizen - The Court first considered Application for Massage Parlor Operator's Permit by Robert Goodman for Lion's Den The District Attorney stated that the application meets all requirements The Sheriff's office stated that Mr. Goodman meets all the require- ments The County Judge recommended approval of the application. Commissioner Cooley voted "No ", whereupon the County Judge announced the motion carried The Court next considered bids for the sale of surplus property. Frank Palermo - Item 19 - $50 00, Item 20 - $300.00, Item 24 - $300 00, Item 27 - $400 00 3. AAA Auto Sales - Item 27 - $450 00 < 4. Watson and Company - Item 27 - $310 00 5. Robert Sandel - Item 20 - $155.00, Item 26 - $55 00, Item 24 - $55.00 6. B. V Elkins - Item 4 - $15.00, Item 30 - $10.50 7. Willie Mae Jenkins - Item 28 - $20.00 8. Judith G Werlinger - Item 10 - $5 00, Item 11 - $5.00 On motion by Commissioner Wilcox, seconded by Commissioner Cargill, the Court unanimously voted to accept the highest bidder On motion by Commissioner Stasny, seconded by Commissioner Cargill, the Court unanimously approved the payment of fire calls to the City of Bryan in the amount of-$503-09. The County Judge requested the news media to advise citizens that if controlled burning is going to be done all fire departments should be contacted prior to that burning. i The Court next considered the following application for ' soil conservation work George Ford, Rt 3, Box 260, requested maintainer work to be done on Turk Ranch Road in Precinct 3. i On motion by Commissioner Wilcox, seconded by Commissioner Stasny, the Court unanimously voted to approve the application and authorize the Commissioner to do the necessary work.
