SPECIAL MEETING
APRIL 21, 1980
A special executive closed session of the Commissioners'
Court of Brazos County, Texas, was held in the Commissioners'
Courtroom in the Courthouse in Bryan, Brazos County, Texas
beginning at 10 00 A.M on Monday, April 21, 1980, with the
following members of the Court present
R J. Holmgreen, County Judge, presiding
Bill J Cooley, Commissioner of Precinct 1,
Walter Wilcox, Commissioner of Precinct 2,
H L Cargill, Commissioner of Precinct 3,
W. A Stasny, Commissioner of Precinct 4.
The County Judge opened the meeting and announced the
session to be closed to discuss pending litigation. When
the closed discussion was completed the County Judge announced
the meeting to be open to the public In open meeting Commis-
sioner Cooley moved to authorize the District Attorney to
initiate a law suit on behalf of Brazos County styled
Brazos County, Texas vs Thomas L. Speaks, individually,
Thomas L. Speaks, dba Lady Luck, Sharon LaShawn Speaks,
Robert John Goodman aka Robert Goodson, Toni West,
Julie King, and Raymond G Conti aka Raymond Freda
filed in the District Court on April 18, 1980 by and
through the District Attorney of Brazos County, Texas.
The motion was seconded by the County Judge, after the vote was
taken the County Judge announced the motion carried
There being no further business to come before the Court,
the County Judge announced the meeting adjourned
