C ....+r ..,.a.,., ~ ~ nra.. . r _ _ • ~u COMMISSIONERS' COURT MEETING - OCTOBER 8, 1979 CONTINUED On motion by Commissioner Stasny, seconded by Commissioner E Cooley, the minutes of the meetings held September 4, 1979, September 6, 1979, September 10, 1979, September 14, 1979 and September 24, 1979 were examined and approved without change The County Judge next recognized Nancy Johnson and Bob Rogers representing the residents in the Precinct 1 area regard- ing rural fire protection Mr Rogers asked that more study be given to getting help from the City of College Station and to a communication system to reduce the unnecessary calls being made by the two cities The County Judge advised that various methods of communication were being studied by the volunteer fire departments and the county The County Judge next recognized Harmon Bell and Olemuel Davis representing the residents from Christopher Village Apartments requesting the voting precinct lines for Precinct 14 be redrawn to include the Christopher Village Apartments by the November 1980 election No action was taken at this time On motion by Commissioner Stasny, seconded by Commissioner Cooley, the Court unanimously accepted the minutes and recom- mendations of the Physical Facilities Advisory Committee On motion by Commissioner Stasny, seconded by Commissioner Wilcox, the Court authorized Jack Cumpton, Architect, to proceed with sketches and ideas to meet the recommendations of the Physical Facilities Advisory Committee The County Judge announced that the proposed Budget for Brazos County had been completed and asked that a public hear- ing date be set, whereupon the Court set Monday, October 22, 1979, at 1 30 P M as the date and hour for the public hearing and ordered the following notices be published in the manner prescribed by law "NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON FEDERAL REVENUE SHARING PLANNED USE" Notice is hereby given that the Brazos County Commissioners' Court will hold a public hearing on Monday, October 22, 1979, VOL o PACE COMMISSIONERS' COURT MEETING - OCTOBER 8, 1979 CONTINUED 7 VO1.1LPACA.204 at 1 30 P.M. in the Brazos County Courthouse in Bryan, Texas, for the purpose of discussing the planned use of Entitlement 11 Revenue Sharing Funds in the amount of $207,775 00 All expenditures of General Revenue Sharing Funds allocated to Brazos County are to be used in compliance with existing laws relating to the expenditures of these funds Planned use of Revenue Sharing Funds are set forth in the Brazos Co,-mty Budget for the year 1980 on file in the office of the County Clerk. All citizens of Brazos County shall have the opportunity to provide written and/or oral comments on the planned use of entitlement funds and are hereby invited to participate in this hearing. On motion by Commissioner Cooley, seconded by Commissioner Stasny, the Court unanimously approved Certificates of Correc- tion No 1327 and Certificates of Cancellation No. 10598 and 10599 The Court next discussed the deadline for submitting plats for rural subdivisions to the Commissioners' Court for their consideration.
