There was no vote taken at which time Commissioner Wilcox withdrew his motion. Commissioner Cooley moved to increase the Law Library fee for Civil cases to $7.50 per case in both District Courts and the County Court At Law. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Cargill. All members voting voted "Aye". There being no "No" vote cast thereby the County Judge announced the motion carried and that the new fee would be effective September 1, 1979 Paul Emola, owner and operator of the Lakeview Club and the Texas Hall of Fame came before the Court requesting the Courts action to extend the time for the sale and consumption of alcoholic beverages outside the city limits of the two incorporated cities to 2 00 on Friday and Saturday nights. After discussion Commissioner Wilcox moved to extend the time for the sale and consumption of alcoholic beverages to 2 00 A.M. on Saturday and Sunday. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Stasny, however after further discussion Commissioner Wilcox withdrew the motion and no vote was cast. Commissioner Wilcox then moved to adopt a resolution pro- hibiting the consumption or possession of alcoholic beverages between the hours of 1.15 A.M. and 7 00 A M. on Saturday and 1 15 A.M. and 12 00 noon on Sunday The motion to adopt the Resolution was seconded by/Commissioner Cargill and all voting voted "Aye". There were no "No" votes cast A copy of such Resolution is attached to and made a part of these minutes The Court next considered bids received for the sale of I , salvage office equipment as advertised by the County Auditor, " all of which having been numbered was available for inspec- tion in the County Auditor's office. 1. Business Research & Services bid $20.00 for any and all equipment not bid on, Commissioner Cooley moved to accept the high bid on single i ' items and to sell all other items to Business Research and Services for the quoted amount. Motion was seconded by Commissioner Wilcox and carried unanimously. On motion by Commissioner Stasny, seconded by Commissioner Wilcox the Court unanimously voted to authorize the sale of three salvage boats as follows , 1. One 17 foot aluminum boat with 28 hp twin speed Evinrude motor and two wheel trailer for $150 00 to Donnie Telg 2, One 14 foot aluminum Tubbs Craft Corsair with 18 hp Johnson Sea Horse motor and two wheel trailer for $229.95 to Jerry Catrone 3. One Arkansas Traveler with 18 hp Evenrude motor and heavy duty trailer for $475.00 to Leroy John Kleinsasser Bids having been opened in July and referred to the Sheriff for his recommendation. Next to be considered was a request by Sarah Ryan, Child Service Attorney for authorization to pay the present Child Support Officer for a two week period while training the newly hired Child Support Officer in the amount of $103.12 and to amend the 1979 budget with the Department of ' Human Resources in the amount of $309.37. On motion by Commissioner Cooley, seconded by Commissioner Stasny, the Court unanimously voted to authorize the payment for train- ing and to authorize the County Judge to sign the amended budget, The County Judge laid before the Court a request by the Lighthouse Church for exemption from ad valorem taxation on the property at 4004 No. Texas Avenue. The motion was seconded by Commissioner • Wilcox, however after much discussion on the exact location and size, Commissioner Cooley withdrew his motion until such time as the Tax Assessor-Collector could investigate the i actual location and size of the property. On motion by Commissioner Cooley, seconded by Commissioner Wilcox, the Court unanimously voted to approve the Public Weighers Bond of Henry G. Rik-Mar Fabricators - $11,100.00 2. Baggerly Mechanical, Inc. - $2,700.00 Due to the vast difference in the amount of the bids the Court referred the bids to Mr. Dobbins for investigation and recom- mendation before awarding the bids. There being no further business at this time the Court recessed until 1 30 P M 1.30 P.M. The Court reconvened at 1.30 P.M. for the purpose of holding a public hearing on amending the County's Subdivision Regulations. Commissioner Wilcox stated that there were several sections of the Regulations that needed discussing and possibly amending.
