Next to be discussed was an amended fee schedule for use of the Brazos Center as recommended by the Director. After discussion and on motion by Commissioner Wilcox, seconded by Commissioner Cargill the Court unanimously voted to adapt the new fees effective August 1, 1979. A copy of such fees are attached to and made a part of these minutes. The Court proceeded to consider the following bids re- ceived for file cabinets for the Tax office News Office Supply Company - $236 00 each Engineering & Office Supply - $294.73 each Commissioner Stasny moved to take the low bid of News Office Supply Company in the amount of $236 00 and authorized the Tax Assessor-Collector to purchase two file cabinets Motion was seconded by Commissioner Cargill and carried unanimously. 1` J The payment of fire calls made by the Cities of Bryan and College Station were next considered After much dis- cussion Commissioner Wilcox moved for the payment of the fire calls made by the City of Bryan in the amount of $447 34 for May and $1,008 62 for June and to the City of College Station in the amount of $1,037 91 for June and $673 82 for May This amount reflects the deletion for Alarm #813 in the amount of $94.00. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Stasny, with Commissioners Wilcox, Cargill and Stasny voting "Aye" Com- missioner Cooley voted "No", whereupon the County Judge announced the motion carried On motion by Commissioner Stasny, seconded by Commissioner Cargill, the Court unanimously voted to approve Requests For Change In Status of Employees as follows Mary Ann Murphy County Clerk's office Elizabeth Marino County Clerk's office Sherra R Grubbs County Clerk's office Pat White District Attorney's office Lendlyn Daniels District Attorney's office r VOL-9- AGE 9-99 1 i COMMISSIONERS' COURT MEETING - JULY 23, 1979 CONTINUED VOL-C-PAGE Carol Louise Carter Irene D White Elizabeth D Brietzke Thomas Threan Richard Redman Fredrick A Maddox Joyce Ellen Winslow Paul E Cameron III Debbie F Stephens Melinda J Waldrep Deborah R Currie C Jack Hunter District Clerk's office District Clerk's office District Clerk's office Precinct #3 Precinct #4 Adult Probation office Adult Probation office Sheriff's gffice Tax office Tax office County Extension office County Extension office The Court next considered for approval the following Notices Of Proposed Installation In County Right-Of-Way A Producer's Gas Company requested authorization to lay a natural gas pipeline within the right-of-way of Riley Road in Precinct 3 B Western Oil Transportation Company requested authori- zation to install a 4 1/2" 0 D steel crude oil pipe- line with an 8 inch steel casing within the right-of- way of Forstoff Road in Precinct 3 After much discussion and on motion by Commissioner Cargill, seconded by Commissioner Cooley, the Court unanimously voted to grant the authorization of the installation of the rights- of-way subject to the following conditions 1 The Commissioner of the Precinct in which the right- of-way lies must be notified prior to the beginning of construction in order that the Commissioner might be on hand to designate the actual location of the installation t~ 1 2 That all damage to the roadways and rights-of-way will be repaired to their original condition to the satisfaction of the Commissioner in which the road- way or right-of-way lies 3 That Brazos County reserves the right to require applicant to relocate or lower any such line at no cost to Brazos County, should same become neces- sary due to widening or lowering, or other alteration of the roadway or right-of-way 4. That Brazos County will in no way be responsible for any damage that might occur to any existing utility lines in the right-of-way 5. That the line will be constructed and maintained on the county right-of-way in accordance with governing laws 6. That the line or lines will be constructed no less y that forty-eight inches (48") lower than the lowest I part of the drainage or bar ditch and that the drain- j age is to be considered at least two feet (2') below the center of the roadway 7. That TMPA or its contractor will set no structure within fifty feet (50') of the County right-of-way The next matter to come before the Court was an amendment to the County's Subdivision Regulations regarding the lot size After discussion Commissioner Cooley moved that action on this matter be deferred until the Regular meeting in August, at _ 1.30 P.M., at which time to hold a public hearing on amending the Regulations. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Wilcox and carried unanimously. On motion by Commissioner Stasny, seconded by Commissioner Cooley, the Court unanimously voted to approve Certificate of Correction number 1325 as presented by the Tax Assessor-Collec- tor. The Court proceeded to consider the following Claims sub- mitted by the County Auditor for payment General Fund Claims 2001 through 2095 On motion by Commissioner Cooley, seconded by Commissioner Stasny, the Court voted unanimously to pay the Claims as sub- r mitted ~ ey fad] ~ 7 VO V 0 PA E a COMMISSIONERS' COURT MEETING - JULY 23, 1979 CONTINUED Other business to come before the Court was a proposal by Kling Engineering for the completion of the survey on the Boon- ,ville Cemetery in the amount of $242 00.
