COMMISSIONERS COURT
SPECIAL MEETING
MAY 29, 1979
A special meeting of the Commissioners' Court of Brazos
County, Texas, was held in the Commissioners' Courtroom in
the Courthouse in Bryan, Brazos County, Texas beginning at
10 00 A M. on Tuesday, May 29, 1979, with the following members
of the Court present

The first matter to come before the Court was the
consideration of proposals for office supplies for Brazos
County The following proposals were received
Engineering and Office Supply - proposed 15% discount off
suggested retail price with delivery of all orders
over $7 00
News Office Supply - proposed 15% discount off suggested
retail price No minimum amount on deliveries
Advanced Business Equipment - proposed 15% discount off
suggested retail price with delivery of all orders
over $7 00

COMMISSIONERS' COURT SPECIAL MEETING - MAY 29, 1979

After discussion and receiving comments from two suppliers
present, Commissioner Wilcox moved that the proposal from News
Office Supply be accepted, stating that it was the only one
that did not stipulate a minimum order for delivery. The
motion was seconded by Commissioner Stasny and carried unan-
imously Whereupon, the County Judge announced that all
departments would purchase office supplies from New Office
Supply beginning June 1, 1979 through December 31, 1979
Next to be discussed was the realignment of Voting
Precinct 14 The County Judge announced that due to the
annexation of 73 acres by the City of Bryan the County was
bound, by State Law, to adjust the lines of this precinct
to follow the city limit lines After much discussion it
was the consensus of the Court that this action be taken at
the Regular Term of Court in July, which is the time set by
State Law to change voting Precinct lines On motion by
Commissioner Stasny, seconded by Commissioner Cooley, the
Court unanimously voted to adjust the lines of this precinct
according to the legal description attached to these minutes
at the Regular Meeting in July
On motion by Commissioner Cooley, seconded by Commissioner
Cargill, the Court unanimously voted to pay the statement of
Brazos Electric Power Cooperative, Inc in the amount of
$1,712 01 out of State Lateral Road and Bridge Fund for re-
locating a power line on FM 158.
On motion by Commissioner Cooley, seconded by Commissioner
Cargill, the Court unanimously voted to approve Requests For
Change In Status of Employees as follows

On motion by Commissioner Stasny, seconded by Commissioner
Cargill, Certificate of Correction No 1322 and Certificate of
Cancellation No 10594 as presented by the Tax Office were
approved as submitted
The Court proceeded to consider the following Claims
submitted by the County Auditor for payment
General Fund Claims 1394 throuqh 1523
On motion by Commissioner Stasny, seconded by Commissioner

Cooley, the Court voted unanimously to pay the Claims as
submitted
Next to come before the Court was the Final Plat of
VILLAWEST, SECTIGN 2, VACATING AND RESUBDIVISION On motion
by Commissioner Wilcox, seconded by Commissioner Cooley, the
Court unanimously voted to accept the Vacating Plat On
motion by Commissioner Stasny, seconded by Commissioner Cooley,
the Court unanimously approved the Plat as presented subject
to an affidavit from the developer stating that the Commi-
ssioner will not maintain any properties behind curblines
There being no further business, the Court adjourned

BEGINNING at the point of intersection of the centerline
of Still Creek and State Highway 21 West in the city of Bryan,
THENCE southerly along the centerline of Graham Drive
to its intersection with the centerline of West 28th Street,
THENCE west along the centerline of West 28th Street
to its intersection with the centerline of Palasota Drive,
THENCE southerly along the centerline of Palasota
Drive to its intersection with Beck Street,
THENCE east along the centerline of Beck Street to its
intersection with the centerline of Ridgedale Street,
THENCE southeast along the centerline of Ridgedale
Street to its intersection with the centerline of Mockingbird Street,
THENCE southwest along the centerline of Mockingbird
Street to its intersection with Palasota Drive,
THENCE southeast along the centerline of Palasota Drive
to its intersection with the centerline of Fin Feather Road,
THENCE southwest along said centerline of Fin Feather
Road to its intersection with the centerline of Bittle Lane,
THENCE west along the centerline of Bittle Lane to its
intersection with the centerline of Groesbeck Street,
THENCE southwest along the centerline of Groesbeck
Street to its intersection with the Bryan city limits line,
THENCE northwest along the Bryan city limits line to its
intersection with the centerline of State Highway 21,
THENCE easterly along the centerline of State Highway
21 west to the POINT OF BEGINNING
With polling place at BEN MILAM ELEMENTARY SCHOOL.
