M. in the ~ ~ I 1 r Commissioners' Courtroom of the Brazos County Courthouse, Bryan, X1,;1 Texas, for the purpose of discussing the jail facilities and the ' t,,1 juvenile facilities. , The following persons were present at the workshop: LI ' William R. Vance, County Judge; r 1 Walter Wilcox, Commissioner of Precinct 2; H. L. Cargill, Commissioner of Precinct 3; ` W. A. Stasny, Commissioner of Precinct 4; r t~l` I Jack Cumpton, Architect; ti~ Bobby H. Yeager, Sheriff, I 1 i David M. Walenta, Juvenile Probation Officer; E. A. Wentecek, Jr., Juvenile Probation Officer, Leann Swanson, Juvenile Probation Officer; Sarah Ryan, Child Services Attorney. rl 1 r ~I Jack Cumpton made a presentation on the present status of the ,,fail facilities and use of the facility for confinement of juveniles. I Much discussion was had regarding tie renovation of the present t ' I facility for juvenile confinement, construction of a new facility, location of a new facility and the part that the Juvenile Probation 1 ,Department could have in the operation of a new facility. It was the consensus of the Court that Mr. Cumpton do some I preliminary plans for a juvenile facility on the Bridge House property and that the Juvenile Probation Department make a preliminary study fof the cost of the facility and their department if it were housed in the facility, and the cost of operations if not housed ih the T facility. Both were requested to return with their findings in ten days when another workshop session would be held.
