COMMISSIONERS' COURT
SPECIAL MEETING
JANUARY 19, 1978
A meeting of the Commissioners' Court of Brazos County, i
Texas, was held in the Commissioner's Courtroom in the Court-
house in Bryan, Brazos County, Texas, beginning at 4:00 P. M.
on Thursday, January 19, 1978, with the following members of
the Court present:
William'R. Vance, County Judge; presiding
Bill J. Cooley; Commissioner Precinct 1; 1
Walter Wilcox, Commissioner Precinct 2; !
H. L. Cargill, Commissioner Precinct 3;
W. A. Stasny, Commissioner Precinct 4;
Frank Boriskie, County Clerk.

The following citizens and officials were in attendance:
Rolando Santos, KBTX-TV
Jesse Montelongo, NOSCO
Joel Potts, Brazos Valley Nursery
John Hawtrey, Home Craft
The County Judge opened the meeting and announced that the

purpose for this meeting was to consider bids for furniture,
landscaping and stage curtains for use at the Brazos County
Regional Multi-Use Facility noting that public notice had been ,
;given for the request of such bids.
The County Judge y proceeded to open and read aloud the
sealed bids received fromAhe following companies:
Furniture:
Wilsons $64,404.86
Home Craft ; 61,111.10

Landscaping:
Brazos Valley Nursery; $21,813.00

Stage Curtains:
Imhoffs $ 2,712.00
Central Distributing 2,062.00
The County Judge noted that all bids were accompanied by j
the proper bid bond.
On recommendation by the Architect, Commissioner Cooley
moved that the low bid in each catagory above be accepted and

that the contracts be awarded to such low bidders in the amounts
stated above with the exception that an additional 200 chairs,
10 tables, and 2 table carts be purchased at unit prices sub-
mitted by the low bidder and that the County Judge be authorized
to execute such agreement. The motion was seconded by Commissioner
Wilcox and carried unanimously.
This being the only matter to be considered at this
,meeting, and no other business to come before the Court,
the meeting adjourned.
