Burley, District Clerk Jack Cumpton, Architect The first matter to come before the Court was the adoption of an amendment'to the Brazos County Private Sewage Facility Regulations. Such amendment would effect page 4, Section D, line 3 changing the -title of the pamphlet from "A GUIDE TO THE DISPOSAL OF HOUSHOLD SEWAGE" to "CONSTRUCTION STANDARDS FOR PRIVATE SEWAGE FACILITIES", as revised by the State Department of Health. On motion by Commissioner Cooley, seconded by Commissioner Wilcox, the Court unanimously voted to amend the Private Sewage Facility Regulations established by the Commissioners' Court on August 25, 1975.; J The Court next considered a petition by-residents of the Oak r Hollow Subdivision to change the name of the roads in the subdivision known as Dobbyns Road and Lakeside Road to Oak Hollow Circle. On motion by Commissioner Cargill, seconded by Commissioner Cooley, the Court unanimously voted to change the names of both roads to Oak Hollow Circle and ordered the County Clerk to make reference to this action on the recorded plat-in the official records. Next to be considered!was a vehicle lease between the City of t ! 'r College.Station and Brazos;County for the use of the County's Mod- • i ' ulance. After discussion of the lease, Commissioner Cooley moved that ti Brazos County enter into such agreement and authorized the County Judge to execute the necessary lease. Motionwas seconded by commissioner Wilcox and carried unanimously. It appearing to the Court that this agreement was basicly the same as the one approved between the City of College Station and Brazos County, Commissioner Cooley moved that the County enter into such agreement with the City,of Bryan and to"authorize the County Judge to execute -the necessary agreement. Motion was seconded by Commissiol~,pF Wilcox and carried unanimously. The Court also reviewed the lease agree ,pnt between the City of Bryan and MidTe)CAmbulance, however no action was necessary by the Commissioners' Court. The Court next reviewed the 1978 contract for joint operat'itn ofk the Brazos County Health Unit and its total budget for 1978 in the amount of $88,839.00.' On motion by Commissioner Cargill, seconded by Commissioner Wilcox, the Court unanimously voted to authorize the, County Judge to execute the current contract. On motion by Commissioner Cooley, seconded by Commissioner Cargill, the Court unanimously voted to pay the County's 1978 membership dues to the Texas Association of Counties in the amount of $850.00. The Court next considered the payment of fire calls made by the ; City of College Station. On motion by Commissioner Cooley, seconded, by Commissioner Wilcox, the Court unanimously voted to pay $3,415.23 to the City of College Station,'for October. The Court heard a presentation by J. C. Miller who presented the views of'a number of concerned citizens in the matter of fire pro- tection in the rural areas. Mr. Miller was advised that the Court was not ready to take 'action on the matter at this meeting and would consider the matter at a later date. Mr. John Godfrey,,a resident in the Precinct 3 area retested the Court to look intoithe matter of trash pick up in the rural areas, or some method the rural residents could utilize to dispose of trash. On motion,by Commissioner Cooley, seconded by Commissioner Wilcox, the Court unanimously voted to forward the study to the Federal Clearing House for their review and comments. The Court next considered the following amendments to the 1977 Budget as presented by the County Auditor: Welfare Department:. Indigent Hospital Fund 8,100 Utilities 1,700 Fire Protection:; Ambulance (County's Portion) 9,655 Volunteer--Fire Equipment.. 7,795 Fire Calls............ o 10,000 Building and Yards:,' Utilities (Courthouse and Annex)........... 12,350 On motion by Commissioner Wilcox, seconded by Commissioner Cargill, the Court unanimously voted to amend the 1977 Budget accordingly. The Court next considered Requests For Change In Status for the following employees: Robert Wayne Hayes, Brazos County Health Department Ron Epps, Brazos County,Health Department Curtis Foley, Janitorial Jessie Sargosa, Building and Yards Angie Wilson, County Judge's Office i On motion by Commissioner Cooley, seconded by Commissioner Wilcox, the Court unanimously voted to approve the Requests as submitted. The Court next considered payment of the following Claims as submitted by the County Auditor: General,Fund - Claims 2213 through 2461, excepting 2270 Probation Fund - Claims-167 through 186 Bridge House- Claims 36 through 46 Revenue Sharing Fund - Claims 48 through 55 County Shop - Claims 136 through 155 Precinct 1 - Claims 230,through 261 Precinct 2 - Claims 232•through 261 excepting 243 and $290 of Claim 250 Precinct 3 - Claims 173 through 197 Precinct 4 - Claims 186 through 210 Miscellaneous Funds - Claims 95 through 105 On motion by Commissioner Cooley, seconded by commissioner Wilcox, the Court unanimously voted to pay the Claims as submitted. M. to consider the following plats submitted for review and approval: 1. Final Plat of SHERWOOD HEIGHTS, SECION III-in Precinct 1. On motion by Commissioner Cooley, seconded by Commissioner Wilcox, the Court unanimously voted to approve the plat as submitted. 2. Final Plat of WOODLANDS in Precinct 1 and the extra terri- torial jurisdiction of the City of College Station. On motion by Commissioner Cooley, seconded by Commissioner Cargill, the Court unanimously voted to approve the plat subject to the addition of the statement concerning the County's,Private Sewage Regulations. 3. Final Plat of CREEK RIDGE SUBDIVISION in Precinct 1. Approval was denied until such time as the plat is laid out in tracts and conforms to the County's Subdivision Regulations. 4. Final Plat of SHENANDOAH in Precinct 3. On motion by Comm- issioner Cargill, seconded by Commissioner Wilcox, the Court unanimously voted to approve the plat subject to the add- ition of the statement concerning the County's Private Sewage-Regulations, and the filing of the title certificate. !5. Resubdivision of DEERFIELD ESTATES No. 2 in Precinct 1. On motion by Commissioner Cooley, seconded by Commissioner Wilcox, the Court unanimously voted to approve the plat subject to the addition of the lots being vacated and re- plated. 6. Preliminary Plat of LAKE WELLBORN, in Precinct 1. On motion by Commissioner Cooley, seconded by Commissioner CargilI4~r_ the Court unanimously voted to approve the preliminary plat 11 subject to the following corrections: a. Name streets r~ b. Show easements c. Addition of temporary turn-arounds on all roads. d. Tap adjoining property owners property e. Addition of adjoining property owners The Court next heard a request by Barbara Gibson and Jack Mathews for a variance from the Subdivision Regulations regarding the 50 foot right-of-way. Ms. Gibson requested permission to dedicate a 50 foot right-of-way to Brazos County instead of the required 60 foot. Ms. Gibson and Mr. Mathews were advised to negotiate with the adjoining property owners for the additional 10 feet for the right-of-way. There being no further,business, the Court adjourned.
