SPECIAL MEETING ~
OCTOBER 27, 1977
A meeting of the Commissioners' Court of Brazos County, Texas,
was held in the Commissioners' Courtroom in the Courthouse in Bryan,
Brazos County, Texas, beginning at 4:00 P. M. on Thursday, October.
27, 1977, with the following members of the Court present:
W. A. Stasny, Commissioner, Predinct 4, presiding;
Bill Cooley, Commissioner, Precinct 1;
Walter Wilcox, Commissioner, Precinct 2;
H. L. Cargill, Commissioner, Precinct 3;
Frank Boriskie, County Clerk.
The Court having previously advertised for bids for a patrol
car for the Sheriff's 'Department proceeded to open'bids received for

such vehicle. After careful review of•the bids received from Ted
Wilkerson, Inc., Beal Ford, Tom Light Chevrolet and Halsell Motor
Company, Inc., Commissioner Stasny moved to accept the low bid of
Tom Light Chevrolet in the amount of $4,440 for a 1977, four door
Impala Chevrolet. Motion Was seconded by Commissioner Cooley and
carried unanimously.
1The next matter to come before the Court was the purchase of a
hydraulic lift for the County Shop. Having advertised for bids and
receiving only one bid, Commissioner Cooley moved to accept the only
bid received from Billy Beard Pump Service in the amount of $3,265.
Motion was seconded by Commissioner Cargill and carried unanimously.
There being no further business the Court adjourned.
