Cooley, Commissioner of Precinct 1, presiding; Walter Wilcox, Commissioner of Precinct 2; H. L. Cargill, Cortunissioner of Precinct 3; Frank Boriskie, County Clerk. The Court received, approved and ordered,filed as submitted, ,S the following reports for July, 1977: 4 W. T. Sistrunk, County Extension Agent; Curtis Taylor, Jr., County Extension Agent; LeRoy Grebe, Jr., County Extension Agent; Mable Walker, County Extension Agent; Wanda L. Pope, County Extension Agent. Smith, The Eagle Steve Stites, WTAW John Godfrey, Probation Dept. Bob Reese, Classic, Inc. Ed Johnson, Forest Lakes Alike Mahoney, Forest Lakes The first matter to come before the Court was an Affidavit of Claim against Brazos County for property damage submitted by Howard H. Davenport. After discussion of the claim, it was the con- sensus of the Court that the matter should be left to the discre- tion of the Commissioner against whom the claim is made. The Court next considered a purchase order submitted by the Probation Department for the purchase of drapes for two offices. Having noted that quotes had been received from Allen's Blind and Drapery Shop in the amount of $350.00 and Twin City Draperies, Commissioner Wilcox moved to authorize the Probation Department to purchase the drapes from Allen's Blind and Drapery Shop. Motion was seconded by Commissioner Cargill and carried unanimously. Next to be considered was an application to the Criminal Justice Division for a third year Grant for the Probation Department in the amount of $21,137.00 covering the period from January 1, 1978, - through December 31, 1978. After reviewing the Application, Commis- sioner Cooley moved that the County Judge be authorized to make application on behalf of Brazos County and authorized the forwarding of the Application to the Brazos Valley Development Council for their consideration. Motion was seconded by Commissioner Wilcox. Al pre- sent voted AYE, none voted NO. On motion by Commissioner Wilcox, seconded by Commissioner Cargill, all members present voted to pay application number 5 from Bryan Construction Company in the amount of $27,702.45 for work completed at the Brazos County Park. Johnson in County Clerk's Office Ann Bire in Tax Office Dana Pridgon in Tax Office Barbara Kehlenbrink in Tax Office Donna Bonjo in Tax Office Hayward A. Moncrief•- Veteran's Service Officer On motion by Commissiner Cargill, seconded by Commissioner Wilcox, the Court voted to approve all Requests as submitted.- On motion by Commissioner Wilcox, seconded by Commissioner Cargill, the Court voted to pay the invoice of E. E. Merrell, Jr., in the amount of $1,268.14 for Architectural Services in connection with the parking lot at the Courthouse Annex. The Court proceeded to consider the following claims submitted by the County Auditor for payment: General Fund - Claims 1493 through 1648 Miscellaneous - Claims 78 through 81 Probation Fund - Claims 118 through 129 Bridge House - Claims 7 through 14 County Shop - Claims 99 through 113 Precinct 1 - Claims 157 through 183 (excepting 171 & 174) Precinct 2 - Claims 165 through 182 Precinct 3 - Claims 120 through 136 Precinct 4 - Claims 129 through 145 Revenue Sharing - Claims 20 through 26 On motion by Commissioner Cooley, seconded by Commissioner Cargill, the Court voted to pay the above claims as submitted. 1:30 P.M. The Court reconvened at 1:30 p.m., and first considered a re- quest by Brazos Valley Utilities, Inc., for authorization to bare across Pinewood Drive in Precinct 4 for the purpose of installing a 3/4 inch water line and a 4 inch sewer line. After reviewing the drawings submitted, Commissioner Cargill moved that authoriza- tion be granted. That Brazos Valley Utilities, Inc. or its contractor must notify the Commissioner of the Precinct in which the right-of-way lies prior to the beginnring of construction } in order that the Commissioner might be on hand to desig- nate the actual location of the installation. 2. That Brazos Valley Utilities, Inc. or its contractor will repair all damage to the roadways and rights-of-way to, their original condition to the satisfaction of the Commissioner in which the roadway or right-of-way lies,. 3. r That Brazos County reserves the right to require Brazos , Valley Utilities, Inc, to relocate or lower any such line at no cost to Brazos County, should same become neces- ! sary due to the widening or lowering, or other alteration i of the roadway or right-of-way. 4. That Brazos County will in no way be responsible for any damage that might occur to any existing utility lines in the right-of-way. ; The Court next reviewed and considered the following Plats: 1, Preliminary Plat of Creekwoo4d-Estates in Precinct 1, On motion by Commission Cargill, seconded by Commissioner r Wilcox, all members present voted to approve the prelim- r r inary plat subject to the following changes: a) Lot and Block numbers to be shown on Plat. b) Removal of Parker Lane or make it a sixty (60) foot right-of-way and construct the road. c) Removal of Fawn Lane or make it a sixty (60) foot right- of-way and construct the road. d) Change the name of the subdivision. 2. Final Plat of Timberwilde, Phase I, in Precinct 3. On motion by Commissioner Cargill, seconded by Commissioner Cooley, the Plat was approved by all present subject to the following changes: a) Addition of drainage easements down back lot- lines between Phase I & II and on side of lot lines., 3. Final Plat of Forest Lakes in Precinct 3. On motion by Commissioner Cargill, seconded by Commissioner Wilcox, all members present voted to approve the Plat subject to the following conditions: a) addition of sixteen (16) foot easements on all roads; b) addition of twenty (20) foot drainage easements on cul-d-sacs where needed; and c) filing of bond for completion of sealcoat roads. t There being no further business, the Court adjourned.
