SPECIAL MEETING i

Y,,;was held in the Commissioners' Courtroom of the Courthouse in Bryan,
-,-,,Brazos County, Texas, beginning at 10:00 A. M. on Thursday, July 8,
1976, with the following members of the Court present:
William R. Vance, County Judge, presiding;
Bill J. Cooley, Commissioner of Precinct 1;
Randy Sims, Commissioner of Precinct 3;
W. A. Stasny, Commissioner of•Precinct 4;
Frank Boriskie, County Clerk.
The following citizens and officials were in attendance:
C. M. Patterson, Observer
Alan Sayers, WTAW Radio
Mary Nichols, County Auditor

The first item for consideration was the appointment of a member
to the Board of Directors of the Brazos Valley Development Council.
The County Judge recommended the appointment of Lloyd Joyce to such
position. Commissioner Stasny moved that the Judge's recommendation
r be considered and that Lloyd Joyce be appointed to serve in this
capacity. Motion was seconded by Judge Vance, with Commissioners
- ~,.'Stasny, Cooley and the County Judge voting "AYE". Commissioner Sims
voted "NO% whereupon the County Judge announced the motion carried and
Lloyd Joyce be appointed to serve on the Board of Directors of the
Brazos Valley Development Council for a period of three (3) years
ending March 31, 1979.
The Court next considered the statement of E. E. Merrell, Jr.,
in the amount of $3,439.18 for architectural services in conncection
with the renovation of the Courthouse Annex. On motion by Commissioner
Cooley, seconded by Commissioner Sims, the Court unanimously voted to
pay such statement.
