COMMISSIONERS' COURT
SPECIAL MEETING
DECEMBER 1, 1975
A special meeting of the Commissioners' Court of Brazos County
Texas, was held in.the Commissioners' Courtroom in the Courthouse
in Bryan, Brazos County, Texas, beginning at 10:00 A. M. on Monday,
December 1, 1975, with the following present:
William R. Vance, County Judge, presiding;
Bill J. Cooley, Commissioner of Precinct 1;
Walter Wilcox, Commissioner of Precinct 2;
Randy Sims, Commissioner of Precinct 3;
W. A. Stasny, Commissioner of Precinct 4;
Frank Boriskie, County Clerk.
First to be considered was the proposal by South/West Planning
Associates for professional services in connection with the
second year application for Community Development Grant Funds.
On motion by Commissioner Sims, seconded by Commissioner Cooley,
the Court unanimously voted to accept the proposal. A copy of
which is attached to and made a part of these minutes.
The Court next discussed the FM 1940 project in Precinct
2. The County Judge presented a letter from the Texas Department
of Highways and Public Transportation outlining its position in
reference to the project. After a discussion of the cost involved
and the money available for the project Commissioner Cooley moved
that the County request that the Highway Department cancel the
project. Motion was seconded by Commissioner Sims and carried
unanimously.
There being no further business, the Court adjourned.

Amendment to the
Contract for Professional Services of July 11, 1975
Brazos County, Texas /Community Developrre nt Program
A. Scope of Services
Consistent with the approach stated in the original contract, South/West Planning
Associates proposes to continue to provide professional consultant services to the
Commissioner's Court of Brazos County in the following areas:
1. On-going, as needed services related to program implementation involving
the County's 1975 CD oc grant fo $20,000 and Section 8 - Housing
Assistance Program coordination;
2. Preparation of a Pre-Application, including citizen participation matters,
two public hearings, and preparation of a Performance Evaluation Report
for the first year's program.
3. Preparation of a Full Application for a 1976 CD block grant. "Preparation"
s all include similar and app ice le procedures followed in obtaining the
1975 block grant and incorporating applicable parts of the Pre-Application,
plus an elaboration on a Three-Year Housing Strategy(with goals) as part of
the County's Housing Assistance Plan.
B. Estimate of Cost of Services
Based on current C.D. regulations and requirements we submit the following
as estimates of costs associated with elements of "A. Scope of Services."
1. On-going Services would be provided on an as-needed basis according to
our current standard fee schedule, as attached and made a part of ,this
amendment.

2. A Pre-Application and Related Activities would involve approximately
$1,950.00 in fees for services in of this amendment.
3. A Full Application and Related Activities would involve approximately,
5$1,550.00 in fees or services in .3 o this amendment.
C. Billing for Services
Billing procedures would remain as stated in the original contract of July 11, 1975.
