A special meeting of the Commissionerol."Court'of Brazos County, ,ft;il
Texas, was held in the,Commissioners' Courtroom in•the Courthouse t
in Bryan} Brazos County, Texas, beginning at 10:00 A. M. on Monday,

November 24, 1975, with the following present: i
William R. Vance, County Judge, presiding;
Bill J. Cooley, Commissioner of Precinct 1; '
Walter Wilcox, Commissioner of Precinct 2;
Randy Sims, Commissioner of Precinct 3;
W. A. Stasny, Commissioner of Precinct 4;
Frank Boriskie, County Clerk.
Claude Davis introduced ten ,governmental officials from Costa
Rica who were officially welcomed to Brazos County and the Comm- 1t
issioners' Court meeting by Judge Vance.
First to be considered was the County's application to the

Bureau of Outdoor Recreation in the amount of $40,000. This amount 1
to be matched with $20,000 Community Development Grant and $20,000 l
County funds. On motion by Commissioner Wilcox, seconded by Comm-
issioner Stasnty the Court unanimously voted to authorize the County
Judge to execute the necessary documents and forward the application
to the proper office.
On motion by Commissioner Sims, seconded by Commissioner Stasny
the Court unanimously voted to pay the two statements of South/West
Planning Associates in the amount of $397.79 for services rendered
in the County's Community Development Application and $1,055:79 for '
preparation of the County's Bureau of Outdoor Recreation application
for a total amount of $1,453.58.
The Court considered a proposal by South/West Planning Associates
for professional services in connection with the County's second 1
year application for Community Development Funds in the amount of '
$3,500. 'The matter was deferred until the December meeting to
give the Court more time to study the proposal.

Mrs. Penny Beaumont representing the League of Women Voters
reported the concern of the League over the removal of voters names
from the registration lists prior to the November 4th election.
The Court again considered a preliminary plat of a 158 acre
subdivision presented by Don Martel. On motion by Commissioner
Cooley, seconded by Commissioner Stasny the Court unanimously voted
to approve such plat subject to it being amended to show Kansas
Street as a 100 foot right-of-way,and a 20 foot utility easement
on the north side of Dorothy Street.
The Court again discussed the proposal of Ed Slovacek for Services
to Brazos County for an outside audit for the year 1975. After
much discussion Commissioner Sims moved to accept the proposal in
the amount of $13,000. Motion was seconded by Commissioner Cooley
and unanimously carried.
The Court considered bids for a typewriter for the County Auditor's
Office. On motion by Commissioner Stasny, seconded by Commissioner
Sims the Court unanimously voted to accept the bid of IBM in the
amount of $562.00. Other bids received were from IBM in the amount
of $630.00 and Mistovich Business Machines in the amount of $560.00.
On motion by Commissioner Wilcox, seconded by Commissioner
Stasny, the Court unanimously voted to authorize the County Judge
to sign the official sponsorship of the Big 8 R C & D for Brazos
County.
The Court again discussed the paying of Wolf Bounty in Brazos
County. After much discussion Commissioner Stasny moved that the
County pay $5.00 for each wolf killed provided it receives a certificate
from the landowner that he has paid the $5.00 to the hunter. Motion
was seconded by Commissioner Wilcox, with Commissioners Stasny,
Wilcox and Sims voting AYE. Commissioner Cooley and the County Judge
voted NO whereupon the County Judge announced the motion carried.
On motion by Commissioner Cooley, seconded by Commissioner-Stasny
the court unanimously voted to approve the Public Weighers Bond of

Billie Jean Ross in the amount of $2,500.00 with Western Surety Co.
as surety.

work as follows:
Walter Hoke, 3610 Oak Ridge, Bryan.,.requested approximately 30h,
hours dozier work to be done in Precinct 4.
Odis E. Mosley, R6ute,5, Bryan, requested approximately 37h hours
dozier work done on Burt Lane in Precinct 4.
Dick Britten, Route 5, Bryan, requested 31 hours motor grader and
dozier work to be done in Precinct 4.
Hugo Dobrovolny, Route 5, Bryan, requested 2~ hours grader work

to be done along Silver Hill Road in precinct 4.
Pete Bomnskie, Rout 5, Bryan, requested 5 hours motor grader
work to be done in Precinct 4.
Woody Humphries, Route 5, Bryan, requested 34 hours work to be
done in Precinct 4.
Willis Hicks, Route 5, Bryan, requested 7 hours dozier work and
2 hours motor grader work to be done along Silver Hill Road in
Preinct 4.
Tom Wallis, 1301 Ursuline, Bryan, requested 4 hours motor grader
work to be done along the intersection of Poor Farm Road and
Wallis Road in Precinct 3.
On motion by Commissioner Stasny, seconded by Commissioner Wilcox
the Court unanimously voted to approve the applications and author-
ized the Commissioners to do the necessary work.
On motion by Commissioner Cooley,' seconded by Commissioner Stasny
the Court unanimously voted to approve Claims 2264 through' 2307 to
be paid out of the General Fund.
There being no further business, the Court adjourned.
