The first item to be,, considered',,was .'a 'request from Vince
J. Luza and Charlie Salvaggio that Brazos'County'abandon a right-
of-way in the John Williams League #237 and`the James Curtis
League Abst. 12 being 1881 feet by 20 feet. On motion by Commiss-
ioner Stasny, seconded by Commissioner Wilcox the Court voted
unanimously to authorize the County Judge t9,execute a quit-claim
deed for the right-of- way.
Next to be discussed was a proposed septic tank ordinance for
Brazos County. The Court heard from Mr.'Kirk Brown, a soil sceintist
with the Soil and Crops Department of Texas A&M who made several
suggestions that he felt would make the ordinance a better and
stronger instrument.
On motion by Commissioner Wilcox, seconded by Commissioner '
Cooley, the Court voted unanimously to approve the application of
Willie Milberger, Jr., Rt. 2, Box 251-A, Bryan for aid in soil
conservation and authorized the Commissioner to do the necessary
work.
The Court proceeded to discuss the adoption of policies and
proceedures for requisitioning, purchasing and claims paying for
the County. After some discussion it was generally agreed that
there should be a meeting of all of the elected officials to get
their views before the final adoption of the policies.
