M. on Monday, March 31, 1975, with the following present: William R. Vance, County Judge, presiding; Bill J. Cooley, Commissioner of Precinct 1; Walter Wilcox, Commissioner of Precinct 2; W, . A. Stasny,, Commissioner of Precinct 4; Frank Boriskie, County Clerk. The Court recognized Mr. B. R. Cupp, Mr. M. W. Watson and Mr. McIntosh all with the General Telephone Company and proceeded to review the terms of the resolution adopted by the Commissioners' Court in 1971, concerning the laying of telephone cable in County roads. ,It was generally agreed that the working arrangements be- tween the County and the Telephone Company were good and that a telephone call to the appropriate Commissioner was sufficient notification before the laying of the cable. The telephone Company requested that, when possible, they be given 30 to 60 days advanced notice when the County intends to widen a road so that they can have sufficient equipment and materials on hand to relocate their cable. Dixie olden, secretary to the Brazos County Fire Ant Control Association, Inc. appeared before the Court to ask the County to furnish postage for the mailing of letters to certain property owners in Brazos County requesting their portion of the funding for the fire ant program.
