Texas, was held in the Commissioners' Courtroom in the Courthouse
in Bryan, Texas, beginning at 10:00 A. M. on Monday, March 24, 1975,
with the following present:
William R. Vance, County Judge, presiding;
Bill J. Cooley, Commissioner of Precinct 1;
Walter Wilcox, Commissioner of Precinct 2;
Randy Sims, Commissioner of Precinct 3;
Frank Boriskie, County Clerk.
COMMISSIONERS' COURT
SPECIAL MEETING
MARCH 24, 1975
The first item for consideration was the statement of Texas
Voting Systems in the amount of $7,553.50 for services rendered
in connection with Voter Registration for Brazos County. After
hearing the status of the new voter registration list and cards
Commissioner Sims moved that such statement be approved for payment.
Commissioner Wilcox seconded the motion which carried unanimously.
The Court next received bids for a file cabinet and safe
combination for the Probation Office. After a discussion of the
needs in that office the Court suggested the Mr. Godfrey obtain
bids on another type of file cabinet for his office.
John Godfrey, Probation officer asked that his secretary be
paid for three (3) hours overtime that she had worked on the last
day of the pay period. On motion by Commissioner Cooley, seconded
by Commissioner Wilcox, the Court voted unanimously to pay such
overtime.

The Court next considered the approval of the County Depository
Pledge Contract for Brazos County for the 1975-76 Biennium. On
motion by Commissioner Sims, seconded by Commissioner Wilcox, the
Court-voted unanimously to approve the Contract with the First National
'Bank of'Bryan. A copy of such contract is attached to and made a
part of these minutes.

The next item,:for consideration, was,.the•liability,rclaim1fo Mr.
Wi? liam L.' Kirk for damages resulting to :a ' 1969 Volkswagen. After •
, ,
consideration of.the-estimate of repairs of Beal Ford in the amount
of $87.60 and of Corbusier Chevrolet Co. in the amount of $65.501,
Commissioner Cooley moved that the claim be approved in the amount
of $65.50. Motion was seconded by-Commissioner Wilcox and carried
unaimously.
Next to be considered were bids for two (2) 6x9 double drawer
file cabinets for the Sheriff's Office. On motion by Commissioner
Sims, seconded by Commissioner Wilcox, the,Court'voted unanimously
to accept the low bid of Engineering and Office Equipment in the
amount of $35.52. The other bid received was from News Office
Supply 'in the amount of $48.87.

The Court considered a request by General Telephone Company

to lay cable in two of the County roads. No action was taken on

the request and asked that Mr. Cupp with the Telephone Company

meet with Commissioners at the meeting to be held Monday, March
31, 1975, at 9:00 A. M.
On motion by Commissioner Sims,.secondea by Commissioner Wilcox, r
the Court voted unanimously to approve claims 635 through 684 to be
paid.out of the.General Fund.
On motion by Commissioner Sims, seconded by Commissioner Cooley
.the Court voted unanimously to approve claims 681 through 727 to be
paid out of various Connty funds.
On motion by Commissioner Wilcox, seconded by Commissioner Cooley, =I
the Court voted unanimously to approve the following claims to be paid
out 'of the Road and Bridge Fund:
Precinct 1 - Claims 78 through 80
Precinct 2 - Claims 84 through 86
County Shop - Claims 6 through 7
There being no further business, the Court adjourned.

Bryan Texas, agrees to the following, to-wit; '
1. That it will safely keep and faithfully disburse the school funds according to law, and pay such
warrants and/or vouchers that may be legally drawn on the funds by legal authority, and that it will ac-
count,for and report annually a statement of such to the Commissioner's Court and to the Commissioner
of Education, as is required by law;
2. That it will comply with all the provisions of the laws of the State of Texas relating to school
fund depositories, that it will perform all duties therein specified, and will execute any and all instru-
ments and documents necessary to evidence its obligation to this county;
3.•'That, at the expiration of the term for which it has been chosen, it will turn over to its succes-
sor all the funds, property, and other things of value, coming into its hands as depository,, and return
the securities pledged to the pledgor. In the event of violation of any or all conditions of this contract,
the Commissioners' Court of Brazos County, Texas, is hereby autho-
rized to sell at public or private sale, with or without notice to the pledgor, the securities or any part
thereof, and apply the proceeds of sale to the satisfaction of any or all condit pff tgf this contract.

THE, CONDITIONS of this contract are such that if the said depository bank shall perform all obli.
gations hereinabove specified it shall be null and void, otherwise it shall remain in full force and effect.
The above provisions are given in addition to any remedy the pledgee may have in any suit brought
on this contract in any court in this State. Any suit arising out of or in any way connected with this
j contract shall be tried in the County of R r a z n , State of Texas, in any court
therein having jurisdiction of the subject matter thereof.

deposits," and shall faithfully keep said county funds, and account for same according to law, and shall
faithfully keep and account for all funds belonging to the county which are deposited with it under the
requirements of Article 2547, Vernon's Annotated Revised Civil Statutes, and shall include State funds
collected by the tax collector, and shall pay the interest at the time and at the rate hereinbefore stip-
ulated on "time deposits"; and sliall, at the expiration of the term for which it has been chosen, turn
over to its successor all the funds, property, and other things of value, coming into its hands as depository,
then and in that event this contract is to be and become null and void and the securities above shall be
returned to the pledgor, otherwise to remain in full force and effect, hereby specially authorizing the Com-
missioners' Court of .Brazos County, Texas, to sell at public or private sale, with or
without notice to the pledgor, the securities, or any part thereof, and apply the proceeds of sale to the satis-
faction of any indebtedness arising by virtue of the violation of any or all the conditions of this contract.
The above provision is given in addition to any remedy the pledgee may have in any suit brought on this
contract in any court in this State.
Any suit arising out of or in any way connected with this contract, shall be tried in the County of
