REGULAR MEETING - DECEMBER 10, 1973
A regular meeting of the Commissioners Court of Brazos County,-
Texas, was held in the Commissioners Courtroom in the.Cburthouse in
- Bryan, Brazos County, Texas,' beginning at 10:•00 A. M.Ion Monday,`
December 10, 1973 with the following present:

The minutes of the meeting held November 12, 1973, were read
and approved without change.
The Court received, approved and ordered filed as submitted
the following reports for November, .1973:

r Commissioners Court - Regular Meeting, December 10, 1973......
The Court next heard a report from Holland Winder, Bryan City
Engineer on improvements to Reliance Road. After a discussion a
motion was made by Commissioner Wilcox to enter into an agreement
with the City of Bryan that if and when drainage improvements are
made in the area of Old Reliance Road and Carter Creek Channel, that
one adequate structure be constructed on Old Reliance Road to
replace the two exisiting structures. This single structure to
be located to align with the drainage-utility easement northwest
of Old Reliance Road and within the cannel crossing Reliance Road.
This location being approximately 4065 feet in-a northeast direction
from the most notherly right-of-way line of State Highway 6 East.
Motion was seconded by Commissioner Stasny and passed unanimously.
The Court next considered an application to be submitted to
the Criminal Justice Council, Wherein Brazos County is the applicant,
for the operation of a project known as the TROUBLED YOUTH PROGRAM
at a total cost for a three year period of $74,201.00, of which
the sum of $13,020.00 would be paid by Brazos County in cash.
Commissioner Sims moved that the County submit such application as
the applicant and that the County Judge be authorized to execute
all necessary documents in relation thereto. Motion was seconded by
Commissioner Wilcox and carried unanimously.
On motion by Commmssioner Wilcox, seconded by Commissioner Sims,
the Court voted unanimously to accept the Grant Award by the Criminal
Justice Council to Brazos County for assistance for the District
Attorney and authorized the County Judge to enter into an agreement
with the Criminal Justice Council. A copy of such agreement is
attached to and made a part of these minutes.
On motion by Commissioner Stasny, seconded by Commissioner
Wilcox, the Court voted unanimously to pay the expenses of Foster
Care for the month of November in the amount of $565.40.
On motion by Commissioner Cooley, seconded by Commissioner Sims,

the Court voted unanimously to pay $422.50 to the City of College
Station and $606.00 to the City of Bryan for fire calls.
The Court ne;.ct considered the statement of Spencer Buchanan in
the amount of $856.00 for survey work One on the Brazos County
Exposition Park. On motion by Commissioner Sims, seconded by

Regular Meeting, December 10, 1973....
Commissioner Wilcox, the Court voted unanimously to pay such
statement. '
' On motion by Commissioner Cooley, seconded by Commissioner Sims,
the Court voted unanimously to pay $850.00 to the Texas Association
of Counties for the Annual dues of Brazos County.
The Court next considered the plat of TRACT 4, WILCOX ESTATE, f
presented by Walter Wilcox. After a discussion, Commissioner Cooley
moved that such plat be accepted as presented. Motion was seconded
by Commissioner Sims and carried unanimously. Commissioner Wilcox

abstained from voting.
On motion duly made and seconded the Court unanimously'voted
to authorize Commissioner Cooley to take bids for a front end loader
for Precinct 1. ;
On motion duly made and seconded, the Court voted unanimously to
pay all bills which have been properly filed and approved.
There being no'further business, the Court adjourned.
The foregoing minutes were'examined and approved in open
Court on he 14th day of January, 1974.

AGREEMENT
That whereas Brazos County
hereinafter referred to as Grantee has heretofore submitted a grant applica-
tion containing standard grant conditions to the Criminal Justice Council,
State of Texas, entitled prosecutor's Aides & Assistants for Brazos County
and further identified by grant number AC-3-E2-1956gnd; ,
Whereas, the Governor of the State of Texas has approved the grant
application as evidenced by the Statement of Grant Award from the Criminal
Justice Council dated ?IOV 3 x]973- which contains certain specidl
requirements in addition to the standard grant conditions and;
Whereas, the Grantee desires to accept the grant award which embraces
the standard grant conditions and special requirements as evidenced by
the Statement of Grant Award.
Now, therefore, Grantee in consideration of the making of this grant
accepts the aforementioned Statement of Grant Award, the standard grant
conditions, and special requirements and further shall timely comply
with all standard grant conditions and special requirements in the grant
application and Statement of Grant Award as evidenced by this agreement
executed by the official authorized to sign the original grant application
as presiding officer of and on behalf of the governing body of this grantee.
