A regular meeting of the Commissioners court of Brazos County,

I Texas; was held in the Commissioners Courtroom in the Courthouse in
Bryan, Brazos County, Texas, , beginning at 10
. 00 A. M. on Monday,
September,10, 1973, with the following'present:
Bill J. Cooley, Commissioner-of Precinct # 1;
Walter Wilcox, Commissioner of Precinct # 2;
Randy Sims,-Commissioner of Precinct # 3;
W. A.-Stasny, Commissioner of Precinct # 4;
' Frank Boriskie, County Clerk.
The minutes of the meeting held August 13, 1973,' were read
and approved without change.
The Court received, approved and ordered filed as submitted
the following reports for August:
B. V. Elkins, County Welfare Officer;
W. T. Sistrunk, County Extension Agent;
Curtis Taylor,,Jr., County Extension Agent;
Douglas F. Presley, County Extension Agent;
Mable Walker, County Extension Agent.
The Court received, considered and approved the following reports
from County and Precinct Officers showing official fees of office
collected and remitted to the County Treasurer according to duplicate
copies of the Treasurers Official receipts attached thereto:,

The Court first considered the opening of bids for sealcoat
work in all precincts. The only bid received was that of Cox
Paving Company, for the sum of $2,300.00 per mile with an alternate
of $2,580.00 per mile, using # 4 rock instead of # 5. On motion
duly made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Court voted to
accept the bid as submitted and to authorize each precinct to proceed
with the work as bid.
On motion duly made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Court
voted to accept for filing the plat of SOUTH OAKS Subdivision and
road dedication out of the Clarence E. Young Tract, both with the
stipulation that the County would in no way construct or maintain
any roads in said subdivisions.
On motion duly made,-seconded and carried unanimously, the
Court voted unanimously to approve the'Public Weighers Bond of Jim
Beard in the amount of $2,500.00 with United States Fidelity and
Guarntee as surety.
On motion duly made, seconded and carried unanimously, the
Court voted to approve the payment of $543.97 for Foster Care
expenses for the month of August, 1973.
On motion duly made, seconded and carried unanimously, the
Court voted to approve for payment of the statement of Ples Turner
in the amount of $255.00 for painting the Probation Department and
County Attorney's offices on the third floor.
The Court next considered the bids submitted for a new type-
writer for the Community Outreach Center. On motin by Commissioner
Sims, seconded by Commissioner Wilcox, the court voted unanimously to
accept the low bid of Advance Business Equipment in the amount of
$425.00. The remaining bids were by Cates Typewriter Company in the
amount of $485.00 and by IBM in the amount of $522.00.
The Court considered a request by Mrs. Kathleen Masters for
abandonment of a certain right -of*way in Woodville Acres No. 3,
but delayed action until receipt of further information.
On motion duly made, seconded and unaimously carried, the Court
voted to pay all bills which have been properly filed and approved.
There being no further business, the Court adjourned.
