M. on Monday, April 6, 1974, with.the following present: William R. Vance, County Judge, presiding; Bill J. Cooley, Commissioner of Precinct # 1; Walter Wilcox, Commissioner of.Precinct # 2; Randy Sims, Commissioner of Precinct # 3; W. A. Stasny, Commissioner of Precinct # 4; Frank Boriskie, County Clerk. The minutes of the regular meeting held March 12, 1973 were read-and approved,`,.-:,,., without change. ' The Court received, approved and ordered filed as submitted the following reports for March: B. V. Elkins, County Welfare Officer; William T. Sistrunk, County Extension Agent; Curtis Taylor, Jr., County Extension Agent; Douglas F. Presley, County Extension Agent; Mable Walker, County Extension Agent. ! The Court received, considered and approved the following reports from County and Precinct Officers showing official fees of office collected and remitted to the County'Treasurer according to duplicate copies of the Treasurers Official receipts' attached thereto: William R. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Stasny and carried unanimously. On motion by Commissioner Stasny, secondedby Commissioner Sims, the Court unanimously voted to pay expenses of Foster Care for the month of March, 1973,'in the amount of $999.38. The County-Judge next presented regulations adopted by several other counties governing the installation of sanitary sewage facilities in areas outside of the jurisdiction of cities. After a discussion the Court agreed to consider a recommendation of the Brazos County Health Unit. The Court next proceeded to canvass the votes from the Brazos County School Trustee election held on Saturday, April 7, 1973, and found the following total results: Eddie L. Hester, Precinct 2'----320 votes Arthur Yeager, Precinct 4 ------1151 votes On motion by Commissioner Stasny, seconded by Commissioner Sims, the Court unanimously voted to declare the results of the election as stated and to issue certificates,of election to the persons named above. On motion by commissioner Wilcox, seconded by Commissioner Sims, the Court unanimously voted to pay for fire calls by the City of Bryan, during March, 1973, in the amount of $451.50. Commissioner Stasny pointed out an omission in the minutes of October, 1970,whereby the approval of a plat of ENCHANTED OAKS, submitted by Henry Clay was not reflected by the minutes of that month. Ongmotion by Commissioner Stasny, seconded by Commissioner Sims, the Court unanimously voted to correct such minutes by the- addition of the following paragraph: "On motion duly made and seconded the Court unanimously voted to approve the plat of Enchanted Oaks submitted Henry Clay, with the understanding the the County would in no way construct or maintain the roads of said sub division". h . 'PAGE VOL. -vj l l On motion by Commissioner Wilcox, seconded by Commissioner Cooley,-the Court unanimously voted to-approve the plat of 1 j PARKWOOD ESTATES, 1st Installment, submitted by Charlie Stratta; with the understanding that the County would in no way construct or maintain the road in said subdivision. On motion duly made and seconded, the Court unanimously -voted to readopt the Airport Study Resolution as recorded in VoltTMne M., page 390, Minutes of the Commissioner's Court of Brazos County, and to authorize the appointments therein specified. The Court next retired to executive session to consider the following matters: 1. The employment of an auditing firm to conduct an audit of all County Funds 2. An offer for the purchase of real property. 3. The employment of an administrative assistant to the Commissioners' Court. On motion by Commissioner Cooley, seconded by Commissioner Sims, the Court voted to accept applications for a one-half time administrative assistant to theCommissioner's Court. Commissioners Cooley, Sims and the County Judge voted AYE. Commissioners Wilcox and Stasny voted NO. Oh motion duly made and seconded the Court voted unanimously to approve all bills which have been properly filed and approved.
