'rf-., il:; +t - . , 'I REGULAR MEETING - MAY 109 1971 A regular meeting of the Commissioners Court of Brazos County, 1 Texas was held in the Commissioners' Courtroom in the Courthouse in j Bryan, Texas, beginning at 10:00 A. M. on Monday, May 10, 1971 with ' the following present: William R. Vance, County Judge, Presiding; ! Raymond A. Nolan, Commissioner Of Precinct #1 Walter Wilcox, Commissioner Of Precinct #2 ; Clyde J. Porterfield, Commissioner Of Precinct #3 W. A. Stasny, Commissioner Of Precinct #4 r Frank Boriskie, County Clerk. r The Court received, approved and ordered filed as E submitted the following reports for April, 1971: ' B. V. On motion by Commissioner Porterfield, seconded by Commissioner Nolan, the Court unanimously voted to authorize such request, subject to the requirement that such cable'be relocated if made necessary by road improvements at no 'cost to Brazos County. The County Judge next presented the request of the Brazos Valley t , Development Council for funding for the period June 16, 1971 to ='June 15,1972, Brazos County's pro-rata share being $2015.00. . 1 motion by Commissioner Stasny, seconded by Commissioner Wilcox, Court unanimously voted to authorize such funding in the amount stated. On the On Motion by Commissioner Nolan, seconded by Commissioner Porterfield, the Court unanimously voted to appoint Earl Freeman, election judge for Precinct 14, voting at Ben Milam, for the election to be held May 18, 1971, only. 'The•Court next considered that matter of the resignation of Joe Holler, Constable of Precinct 3, thereby creating a vacancy in such position. The Court unanimously agreed to leave such office vacant. The Court next considered the request of the First Baptist Church of College Station for exemption from ad valorem taxation on the church parsonage at 1002 Holik Drive, College Station, Texas, being part' of Lots 16 and 17, Block 2, Skrivanek Addition, Number Two, College Station, Texas. On motion by Commissioner Nolan, 1 seconded by Commissioner Stasny, the Court unanimously voted to grant such exemption for as long as such property is used for the purpose r' stated . The.Courrt next considered the plat of Smetana Forest, submitted by W. On motion by Commissioner Stasny, seconded by,Commissioner Nolan, the Court unanimously voted to pay such statement. on motion duly made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Court authorized the payment of the total sum of $871.87 for expenses of foster care for the month of April, 1971.
