M. on Monday, April 12, 1971 with the following present: William R. Vance, County Judge, presiding; ' Raymond A. Nolan, Commissioner Of Precinct # 1; ' ' Walter Wilcox, Commissioner of Precinct # 2; Clyde J. Porterfield, Commissioner of Precinct # 3; W. A. Stasny, Commissioner of Precinct # 4. Frank Boriskie, County Clerk. The Court received, approved and ordered filed as submitted the following reports for March, 1971: ' B. V. Elkins, Welfare Officer; • William T. Sistruhk, County Agricultural Agent; Daniel P. Kubecka, Assistant County Agricultura l Agent; Curtis Taylor, Jr., Associate County Agricultural Agent; i Emily Ritter, County Home Demonstration Agent; Barbara Sharp, Associate County Home Demonstration Agent. A. Moncrief, Veterans Service Officer and Dr. Charles Miller, County Health Officer. , ' Mr. Bill Gard appeard and requested financial assistance for the local unit of the Tbxclis State Guard in the amount of $10.00 per month:explaining that members serving in the Texas State Guard do so voluntarily and areceive,no compensation for their services. Commissioner Porterfield moved to authorize - •the expenditure of $90.00 to the Texas State Guard for the balance of 1971. Motion was seconded by Commissioner Nolan -and unanimously carried. The Court next proceeded to canvass the results of the _ I County Shcool Trustees Election held on Saturaday April 3rd 1971, -such results being as follows: County School Trustee for Precinct # 2: ! Eddie Hester 48 Jack Ir_ick 2 r County Schbbl Turstee for Precinct # 4: Arthur Yeager 196 Bernard Massie 1 H. L. Cargill 1 Commissioner Stasny moved that the results be certified as the official results of such election. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Nolan and unanimously carried. On motion by Commissioner Porterfield and seconded by Commissioner Stasny the Court unanimously voted to designate the First National Bank of Bryan, Texas, as the Official County Depository for the years 1971-734 The Court voted to instruct all County Officers to deposit all County funds in such Depository. ' —:-Commissioner Wilcox requested allocation of funds from ;;,the State Lateral Road Fund not to exceed $8,750.00 for improvement „'of the Dilly Shaw Tap Road. On motion by Commissioner Nolan and seconded by Commissioner Stasny the Court unanimously voted to approve the Public Weighers Bond in the amount of $2,500.00 with Ray Wilburn Becker, as Principal and American. Employee's Insurance Company as Surety. On-'motion by Commissioner Nolan and seconded by Commissioner Wilcox the Court unanimously voted to pay the amount of $871.87 for Foster Care for the month of March, 1971. On motion by Commissioner Stasny and seconded by Commissioner Nolan the Court unanimously voted to accept the low bid of $5,922.50 from International Harvester for a dump truck for Precinct # 2. The other bid being from Corbusier Chevrolet in the amount of $59990.99. On motion by Commissioner Porterfield and seconded by Commissioner Stasny the Court unanimously voted to increase the salary of one janitor to $3,600.00,,one janitor to $3,420.00, the Courthouse maid to $2,760.00 and the Secretery to the Associate County Agent to $3,000.00 per annum. On motion duly made and seconded the Court unanimously voted to pay all bills which have been properly filed and, approve all reports. r.
