M., on Monday, February 8, 1971 with the following present: William R. Vance, County Judge,lpresiding; Raymond A. Nolan, Commissioner of Precinct 1; Walter Wilcox, Commissioner of Precinct 2; Clyde J. Porterfield, Commissioner of Precinct 3; W. A., Stasny, Commissioner of Precinct 4; Frank: Boriskie, County Clerk. The Court received, approved and ordered filed as submitted the following reports for January: B. V. Elkins, Welfare Officer; B. V. Elkins, Veterans Service Officer; William T. Sistrunk, County Agricultural Agent; Daniel P. Kubecka, Assistant County Agricultural Agent; Curtis Taylor, Jr., Associate County Agricultural Agent Emily Ritter, County Home Demonstration Agent; Barbara Sharp, Associate County Home Demonstration Agent. The only bid received was that of The'First National Bnak of Bryan, Texas, agreeing to pay 5% per annum oniall time deposits and to secure all funds in the manner requiredlby law. On motion by Commissioner Porterfield, seconded by CommissionerfNol standard depository Texas, for the~ year minutes. The Court next an, the Court unanimously voted to enter into the contract with The First National Bank of Bryan, 1971-72, a copy of which is attached to these considered the request of General Telephone Company to lay cables along FM 2154 in Brazos County, which request the Court unanimously approved with the agreement that the company make any future moves necessary due to widening or altering said road at no cost to Brazos County, Texas. The Court next considered a proposal to enter into an agreement with the City of Bryan, wererby the City would install Briarcrest Drive from East 29b Street to the East By-pass according to the plans and specifications desired by.said city, including that portion of the road outside said City, and whereby Brazos County would reimburse said City the sum of $12,000 for the County's entire project and with no further obligation on the part of the County. On motion by Commis- sioner Wilcox, seconded by Commissioner Porterfield, the Court un- animously voted to authroized the County Judge to enter into such an agreement-with the City of Bryan, Texas. .z i' lr lg+. s , 1 .1 On motion duly made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Court voted unanimously to pay the expenses of Foster Care for the month of January in the total sum of $642.35. The Court received bids for painting the Health Unit building and unanimously voted to accept the low bid of Gene Hobson in the- amount'of $478.57, including all labor, materials, and repairs ` necessary. That it will.'comply with all the provisions of the laws of the State of Texas relating to school j fund depositories, that it will perform all duties therein specified, and will execute any and all instru- i m'nts and documents necessary to evidence its obligation to this county; 3. That, at the expiration of the term for which it has been chosen, it will turn over to its succes- sor all the funds, property, and other things of value, coming into its hands as depository, and return the ,securities pledged io the pledgor. In the event of violation of any or all conditions of this contract, the Commissioners' Court of LTa z O S County, Texas, is hereby autho- rized to sell at public or private sale, with or without notice to the pledgor, the securities or any part thereof, and apply the proceeds of sale to the satisfaction of any or all conditions of this contract.
