Texas. beginning at'10:00'A. M. on Monday, September 8, 1969, with the following present: William R. Vance. County Judge, presidin ; s r. Raymond Nolan, Commissioner of Precinct 1; ; George Dunn, Commissioner of Precinct #2; Clyde J. Porterfield, Commissioner of Precinct #3;' W. A. Stasny, Commissioner of Precinct #4; Y'. Frank Boriskie, County Clerk. The minutes of the regular meeting held August 11, 1969, and the-Special Meeting held August 18, 1969, were read and approved without change. The Court received, approved and ordered filed as submitted the following'reports for August: ; B. V. Elkins, Welfare Officer; B. V. 31ki.ns. Veterans Service Officer; William Sistrunk. County Agricultural Agent; 'Garland McIlveen, Jr.. Associate County Agriculture Agent; Emily Ritter. County Home Demonstration Agent; Barbara Dorsey, Associate County Home Demonstration Agent. Upon motion of Commissioner Stasny, seconded by Commissioners;:'` ;;tr Porterfield, duly put and carried, it is ordered that County Judge',-. William R. Vance, be authorized to sign and file an assurance with r the Texas State Department of Public Welfare. The ~assurance is to,.'',.-,, state that funds will be available to finance the coupon purchase requirement for a ;household eligible to participate at the minimum') purchase requirement in Brazos County, Texas,.when such minimum would preclude a household from participation in the Food Stamp Program. The Court next considered the matter of deliquent tax collection.',: The County Judge reported that a meeting had been held with Jack McCreary, Attorney at Law, of Austin, Texas, who is a specialist) in the field of deliquent tax Collection, the meeting also being' ,•i attened by the Tax Assessor Collector and the County Attorney, alil of whom recommended that an agreement be signed with Mr. McCreary on forms prescribed by the Comptroller of Public Accounts in Austin. " On motion by Commissioner Stasny, seconded by Commissioner Nolan, the Court unanimously voted to enter into an agreement for the collection of deliquent taxes for a term to expire December 31,'1970. 'r ,IT IS SO ORDERED. On motion by Commissioner Dunn and seconded by Commissioner Stasny, the Court unanimously voted to request the Texas Highway r.' Commission to conduct an Urban Transportation Study for the Bryan- College Station-Brazos County area. The Court further authorized the County Judge to forward a copy of this resolution to the Texas Highway Department. The Court next considered a request from Tom Sistrunk and Garland McIlveen, Jr. that they be allowed to attend Texas A & M University for 3 hours per week. Such consent was unanimously granted. The Court next considered the statement of George Mallard Insurance Agency in the amount of $305.60 for insurance on the .'Saddle Club Ppoperty. On motion by Commissioner Dunn and seconded by Commissioner Nolan the Court unanimously voted' to pay such.. • , statement.
