SPECIAL MEETING - AUGUST 18, 1969
A special meeting of the Commissioners Court of Brazos

County, Texas was held in the Commissioners' Courtroom in
tie Courthouse in Bryan, Texas, beginning at 2:30 P. M. with''. ,r
the following present:
William R. Vance, County Judge, presidin ;
Raymond Nolan, Commissioner of Precinct 1;
George Dunn, Commissioner of Precinct #2; "
Clyde J. Porterfield, Commissioner of Precinct #3;
IV. A. Stasny, Commissioner of Precinct #4.
After further discussion of the present disposition of
the Saddle Club Property, Commissioner Porterfield moved
that the Brazos County 4-H Adult Leaders Association be
given the use and benefit of the Saddle Club Property for
a period of five years from this date, to belerceptediby said
association in its present condition and to be operated at
no expense to the County other than the retirement of present
indebtedness. Motion seconded by Commissioner Nolan.
Commissioners DUrA Porterfield, and Nolan and the County
Judge voted "aye". Commissioner Stasny voted present but
not voting. Whereas the County Judge announced the matter
carried and it is so ordered.
On motion by Commissioner Stasny and seconded by Commissioner
Porterfield the Court unanimously voted to pay Jacob Luza, Jr. the
sum-of $3.136.00 for the purchase of 1.86 acres for right-of-way!.
for the extension of FA160 to the East by-pass. Such payment
to be paid from State and Lateral Road Fund.
On motion by Commissioner Porterfield and seconded by
Commissioner Stasny the Court unanimously voted to authorizes; the
County Judge to execute on behalf of the County an easement
granting Lone Star Gas Co. the right to construct a gas
'transmission line along the west right-of-way line of Finfeather',1
Road provided that any necessary future moves or changes of "
such lines would be accomplished by Lone Star Gas Co. at no
cost to the County.
The Court unanimously voted to appoint the following
- named persons as' election judges for the current voting year,
