REGULAR MEETING - MAY 12 1969
A regular meeting of the Commissioners Court of Brazos
'
County, Texas was held in the Commissioner's Courtroom-in the
Courthouse in Bryan, Texas, beginning at 10:00 A. M. on Monday,; '
May 12, 1969 with the following present:
William R. Vance, County Judge, presiding;
Raymond Nolan, Commissioner of Precinct 1;
}
George Dunn; Commissioner of Precinct 2;
Clyde J. Porterfield, Commissioner of Precinct 3; ;
W. A. Stasny, Commissioner of Precinct 4. '
The minutes of the regular meeting held April 14, 1969 were
read and approved without change.

The Court received, approved and ordered filed as submitted

Constable Dick Munday requested aurhokization to hire a
Negro Deputy. After expressions by members to the effect that the `
Court is trying to reduce the number of paid Constables rather
than increas-f the Court agreed to take the matter'under consideration.
The next matter considered was that of the request of the
General Telephone Co. to lay telephone lines in the right-of-way
of -a--County rraod The matter was referred back to General Telephone
for clearification w:.th a request that they contact Commissioner'
Nolan. .
On motion duly made and seconded the Court voted to approve '
all reports and pay all bills which have been properly filed i•
and approved o r
There beting no further business the Court adjourned.
The foregoing minutes beginning on page,2,4'3 and concluded
on page_ were examined and approved in open Court on the
