The Court 'authori'zed the County Judge to express to the Texas Highway Department the view that such' improvements would be necessary,'and should be undertaken at such r'= time as right-of-way qcquisition appears financially feasable. 'Cho Court next received bids for the construction of book shelves in the,Commissioners Courtroon and the District Attorney's Office and unanimously voted to accept the bid of James K. Pledger-, in the amount of $377.64 for the District Attorney's Office and $277.92 for the Commissioners 1.ourtroom, same being the•only bid submitted. • ,r The court next approved a resolution to support the Legisstioa', increasing the fee payable to the Tax Assessor Collector for automible registration to- 60 cents for each car registered. - -=',•rt.> . s. •D s• S S The Court next received bids for the purchase of a legal file,, cabinet for the County Attorn'ey's Office and voted to accept the low bid of Engineering and Office Supply Co., Inc. in the amount of 267.20 On inotion by Commissioner Stasny and seconded by Commissioner Nolan the Court boted to accept the low bids of Cates Typewriter Company in the amount of $125.'55 for the purchase of an adding machine for the County Clerk's Office and the low bid of The News Office Supply in the • amount of $179.00 'for the purchase of an adding machine for the County, Auditor's Office. t After a discussion of the' problem of parking around the Court- house ' Commis's'ioner Porterfield moved and Commissioner.Dunn seconded ; ' . the motion to authorize the County Judge to sturdy the feasibility " of assigning parking spaces to the. employees and' require unauthorized ' vehicles to cease using .County"'Parking- facilities.
