REGULAR MEETING - NOVEMBER 13, 1968
A regular meeting of the Commissioners' Court•.of Brazos
A' County, Texas was held in the Commissioners' Court room in the
Courthouse in Bryan, Texas, beginning at 10:00 A. M. on Wednesday,'
'.November 13, 1968, with the following present:

The returns of the General Election held November 5
1968
were canvassed and recorded and the results thereof forwarded
to the Secretary of State and a copy thereof filed in the office
of the County Clerk as shown in the Record of Election Returns
Volume D, page 41.
On motion by Commissioner Dunn, seconded by Commissioner
Nolan, the Court unanimously voted to purchase 28.057 acres
from Mrs. V. A. Little for the West By-Pass, for a price of $750.00
per acre.and 4.443 acres for a temporary easement for construction
purposes for a price of 3562.50 per acre.
Upon motion duly made, seconded and unanimously passed, a
Bond of Public Weigher in the amount of $2,500.00 executed by
Gifford-Hill and Company, Inc. as,.Principal and the National
Surety Corporation of New York as surety, dated October 16,
1968 was approved.

Upon motion duly made, seconded and unanimously passed, a
Bond of Public Weigher in the amount of $2,500.00 executed
by Bryan Metal and Iron Company as Principal and the Hanover
Insurance Company of New York as surety, dated September 19,
1968 was approved.
The Court next considered the matter of the group hospital-
ization and life insurance for the benefit;: of County employees.
The County Judge stated that because of the small number of
claims by-County employees the room benefit coverage could be
raised from $12.00 per day to $16.00 per day for an increase of
5:27 per month for an employee and family. On motion by Commissiomer
Nolan and seconded by Commissioner Dunn the Court unanimously
f%voted-to increase coverages as stated for the additional premium
stated.
On motion duly made and seconded the Court voted to approve
- all re 1
ports and pay all, bills which have been properly filed
and ,approved:
