SPECIAL MEETING - SEPTEMBER 18, 1968
A special meeting of the Commissoners Court of Brazos
County, Texas, was held in the Commissioners' Courtroom in the
Courthouse in Bryan, Texas, beginning at 9:00 A. M. on Wednesday
September 18, 1968 with the following present:
William'R. Vance, County Judge, presiding;
Raymond A. Nolan, Commissioner of Precinct 1;
George Dunn, Commissioner of Precinct 2;
Clyde J. Porterfield, Commissioner of Precinct 3;
W. A. Stasny, Commissioner of Precinct 4;
The minutes of the regular meeting held Monday September 9,
-1968 were read and approved without change.
The.C6unty Judge, William R. Vance, submitted'the proposed
Budget for the calendar year of 1969, carrying total proposed
expenditures of $992,934.25. Upon motion duly seconded;and
unanimously adopted, the Court set a public hearing at 10:00
.-A. M. on Monday the 30th day of September, 1968 to be held in
,the Commissioners' Courtroom in Brazos County Courthouse and
i'ordered that public notice be given of such hearing by publishing
Ijthe following'notice in the Bryan Daily Eagle on Thursday,
!,September 26, '1968:
NOTICE OF HEARING ON BRAZOS COUNTY BUDGET FOR 1969
Public notice is hereby given that pursuant
i to action of the Commissioners' Court of Brazos
f County, Texas, taken on September 18, 1968, open
_ public hearing will be held in the Commissioners'
'''.,•j ``y Courtroom in the Courthouse in Bryan, Texas, at
10:00 A. M. on Monday, September 30, 1968, for
I-r consideration of the 1969 Budget for Brazos County,
Texas, submitted to the Court-on September 18, 19689
and now remaining on file in the office of the
County Clerk of said County, all 16 accordance with
law.
Taxpayers and others interested are invited and
urged to acquAint themselves with said Budget during
the time it remains on file with the Clerk before
the hearing.
At the conclusion of the hearing, final action
will be taken by the Commissioners Court of Brazos
County, Texas, for the adoption of the Budget for
~r 1969, as finally agreed upon.

On motion by Commissioner Nolan and seconded by Commissioner
'Stasny the Court unanimously authorized the County Judge to
,ry [
borrow $75,000.00 to pay the remaining landowners on the East
~Hy-Pass, to be repaid from funds due Brazos County by the'State
of Texas for right of way reimbursement.
On motion by Commissioner Porterfiled, and seconded by
Commissioner Dunn, the Court voted to authorize Commissioner =
0
Dunn to borrow $15,737.00 from the First Bank and Trust for a
front end loader to be repaid in annual installments out of
'funds allowcated to precinct 2.
There being no further business the Court adjourned.
