M. on Monday, 'September 9,\`1968 with the following present: ! William R. Vance, County Judge, presiding; Raymond A. Nolan, Commissioner of Precinct 1; George Dunn, Commissioner of Precinct 2; W. A. Stasny, Commissioner of Precinct 4. ' i The minutes of the regular meeting heldl'AUgust.12, 1968 and continued on August 26, 1968 were read and amended to provide that the voting place for the Voting Precinct #3 ♦ 4 will be the SPJST HALL at Smetana. The Court received, approved and ordered filed as submitted the following reports for August, 1968: B. V. Elkins, Welfare Officer;, B. V. Elkins, Veterans Servic,e\eff-icer; William Sistrunk, County Agricultural Agent;' J. Rex Stultz, Assistant County,,Aggricultural A ent; Garland McIlveen, Jr., Associate~County Agricu mural Agent; Emily Ritter, County Home Demonstration Agent; Mrs. Fannie J. Taylor, Associate'County Home Demonstration Agent. The Court received, considered and approved the following reports from County and Precinct officers showing offical fees of office collected and remitted to the County Treasurer, according to duplicate copies of the Treasurer's Offical receipts attached thereto: W William R. Boyett,Jr., Justice of Peace, Precinct 7 Place Fees collected and remitted to Brazos County 495.50 Fees to be paid by County for 27 cases Ca) $4.00 108.00 The County Judge next read an invitation from Mrs. Jud Collier of Mumford, Texas inviting the Court to attend a dedication ceremony of a Historical Marker at Benchley on the 22nd day of September, 1968 at 2 P.M. The County Judge next requested that the Court consider the establishment of a policy regarding the acquiring of the right- of-way for the north segment of the West ByrPass from State Highway 6 north to Highway 21 west. Due to the absence of Commissioner Porterfield no action was taken. On motion by Commissioner Stasny and seconded by Commissioner Dunn the-Court voted to allow Commissioner Stasny to accept bids for a road grader for Precinct 4.
