M. on Monday $ July 8, 1968 with the following present: ' William R. Vance, County,Judge, presiding; Raymond A. Nolan, Commissioner of Precinct 1; George Dunn, Commissioner of Precinct 2; Clyde J. Porterfield, Commissioner of'Precinct 3; • W. A. Stasny, Commissioner of Precinct 4; r The Court received, approved and ordered filed as submitted the following reports for June, 1968: B. V. Elkins, Welfare Officer; B. V. Elkins, Veterans Service Officer; William Sistrunk, County Agricultural Agent; J. Rex Stultz, Assistant,County Agent; Garland McIlveen, Jr., Associate County Agricultural Agent; Emily Ritter, County Home Demonstration Agent;, Mrs. Fannie J. Taylor, Associate County Home Demonstration Agent; The Court received, concidered and approved the following ' ,reports from County and Precinct officers showing offical fees of office collected and remitted to the County Treasurer,, according ''to-duplicate copies of the Treasurer's Offical receipts attached thereto: B. ' Next the semi-annual reports of the County Agents were heard by the Court. The Court next heard a request from the County Tax Assessor -Collector, Mr. Raymond Buchanan to hire a-Chief Deputy-at-a salary r- df -$4,800.00 per year beginning July 15, 1968. On motion duly made and seconded the Court unanimously voted to authorize the Tax Assessor Collector to hire a Chief Deputy at the salary of $4,800.00 per annum effective July 15, 1968. The Court next heard a request from the Honorable Billy M. Payne that space be designated to house the County Law Library,- for-which sufficient funds are on hand to begin purchase. On motion made and seconded the Court unanimously voted to designate ,the Grand Jury Roon on the third floor of the Courthouse to house the County Law Library. Upon motion duly made and seconded the Court unanimously voted to approve the Bond of Public Weigher in the amount of $5,000':00 executed by Homer B. Adams as Principal and the United, States Fidelity And Guaranty Company as surety dated May 29, 1968. I On'motion by Commissioner Dunn and seconded by Commissioner Porterfield the Court unanimously voted to pay the Statement of James C. Smith for appraisals on various parcels'in the East Loop; Highway 6, in the amount of $1,020.00. On motion made, seconded, and unanimously passed the Court' voted to approve all reports and pay all bills which have been properly filed and approved.
