TWO FOR THE ISSUANCE OF BONDS 867 votes AGAINST THE ISSUANCE OF BONDS 501 votes as shown in the official election returns heretofore submitted to the Commissioners' Court of Brazos County, Texas, and duly filed with the County Clerk of said County; Therefore BE IT ORDERED, ADJUDGED, AND DECREED BY THE COMMISSIONERS' COURT OF BRAZOS COUNTY, TEXAS: Section 1: That the special election held in Brazos County, Texas, on the 11th day of March, 1967, was duly called and notice thereof given in accordance with law; that said election was held in the manner required by law; that due returns of said election have been made by the proper officers; that only duly qualified resident electors of said County who own taxable property within said County and who had duly rendered the same for taxation were permitted to vote at said election; that said election has resulted favorably to the levy and collection of the tax and the issuance of the bonds; and that a ma3ority of such voters voting at said election have voted in favor of each of the propositions. Section 2: That the Commissioners' Court of Brazos County, Texas, is now authorized to levy and collect the tax and issue the bonds described in said propositions, and to do any and all things necessary or convenient in connection therewith. STASNNY County Clerk Commissioner, Precinct 3 Commissioner, Precinct 4 SPECIAL MEETING - APRIL 3, 1967 A special meeting of the Commissioners' Court of Brazos County, Texas, wavheld in the Commissioners' Court room of the Courthouse in Bryan, Texas, at 1:30 P. M., on Monday, April 3, 1967, with the following present: W. C. Davis, County Judge, presiding; Raymond A. Nolan, Commissioner of Precinct 1; George Dunn, Commissioner of Precinct 2; and W. A. Stasny, Commissioner of Precinct 4. The County Judge explained to the Commissioners that the purpose of the meeting was to vote on whether or not the Brazos County would pay its proportionate part of the matchinc funds needed for the operation of the Brazos Valley Economic Development District for the fiscal year 1967- 68, which amount totaled $1,552.00. It was explained that the other Counties of Grimes, Madison, Robertson, and Burleson were each paying their part of such operating expenses, based on population, and that only Brazos and one other County had not paid their part. He further explained that it was necessary that this be paid in order that the District might receive the Federal operating funds. On motion by Davis, seconded by Nolan, the Court voted unanimously to authorize the sum of $1,552.00 be paid to the Brazos Valley Economic Development District as Brazos County's part of the operating funds for sucl APRIL _3. 1967 564 organization. On motion made, seconded, and unanimously passed, the Court voted to approve the plat of Holt Hills Addition in Brazos County, with the express stipulation and understanding tha the County would not be in any manner obligated to construct, repair, or maintain the streets and roads situated therein. There being no further business, the meeting adjourned. REGULAR MEETING - APRIL 10, 1967 A regular meeting of the Commissioners' Court of Brazos County, Texas, was held in the Commissioners' Court room in the Courthouse in Bryan, Texas, beginning at 10:00 A. M., on Monday, April 10, 1967, with the following present: W. C. Davis, County Judge, presiding; Raymond Nolan, Commissionerof Precinct 1; George Dunn, Commissioner of Precinct 2; Clyde J. Porterfield, Commissioner of Precinct 3; W. A. Stasny, Commissioner of Precinct 4; and Frank Boriskie, County Clerk. The Court received, approved, and ordered filed, as submitted, the following reports: B. V. Elkins, Veterans Service Officer, for month of March, 1967; B. V. Elkins, Welfare Officer, for month of March, 1967; William T. Sistrunk, County Agricultural Agent, for month of March, 1967; Rex Stultz, Asst. County Agricultural Agent, for month of March, 1967; Miss Emily Ritter, County Home Demonstration Agent, for month of March, 1967; Mrs. Fannie J. Taylor, Associate County Home Dem. Agent, for month of March, 1967; Garland McIlveen, Jr., Associate County Agr. Agent, for month of March, 1967; Bryan- Brazos County Health Department, for month of March, 1967. The Court received, considered, and approved the following reports from County and Precinct Officers showing official fees of office collected and remitted to the County Treasurer, according to duplicate copies of Treasurer's official receipts attached thereto: W. McGee, Justice of Peace, Precinct 4, Place 2: Fees collected and remitted to Brazos County 2,102.50 Fees to be paid by County for 120 cases @ $4.00 480.00 Jesse Stanfield, Constable, Precinct 4 (fees) 34.00 Rev. John Boozer and four ladies appeared before the Court in connection with the Brazos Clinic located in the County-owned building at the southeast intersection of 26th and Washington Avenue. Rev. Boozer explained the services rendered by the Brazos Clinic and that all personnel, including medical doctors, were donating their time in connection with the operation of this Clinic. They requested the extended use of the building, andalso re- quested that the County pay $35.00 for wiring in the building and $24.47 for plumbing neede therein. On motion made, seconded, and unanimously passed, the Court voted to authorize Mr Frank Seale to spend the sum of $35.00 for wiring and the Valley Supply Company of Bryan, Texas, thesum of $24.47 for plumbing fixtures needed in said building, and that such improv~ ments be paid for out of the Permanent Improvement Fund. Mr. D. B. Cofer, Jr., County Attorney of Brazos County, appeared before the Court and requested that the Assistant County Attorney's salary be raised from $5,300 per year to $6,000. On motion made, seconded, and unanimously passed, the Court voted to take the request under advisement. Mr. John Godfrey, Probation Officer, appeared before the Court and requested authoriza~ tion to attend Conference for Probation Officers to be held in Borger, Texas, and that the County pay his expenses in connection therewith. On motion by Davis, seconded by Nolan, the Court voted unanimously to authorize Mr. Godfrey to attend this Conference and to pay a
