McGee, Justice of Peace, Precinct 4, Place 2 Fees collected and remitted to Brazos Countyy 2,985.25 Fees to be paid by County for 150 cases ® $4 00 600 00 Jesse Stanfield, Constable, Precinct 4 (fees) 30 00 The matter of appointing the Brazos County Historical Survey Committee for the 1967- 68 term was next considered by the Court, and on motion by Commissioner Dunn, seconder by Commissioner Nolan, the Court voted unanimously to appoint the following persons to the Historical Survey Committee for the coming year John F. Duncan, Dr. Kate Adele Hill, Mrs. Madge Wallace, D. B. Cofer, Jr., Miss Lucy Harrison, Dr. Allan C. Ashcraft, and Dr. J. L. Boone, Jr. The Court next considered the question of holidays to be observed by the Court- house for the Christmas and New Year holidays, and on motion by Commissioner Porterfield, seconded by Commissioner Nolan, the Court voted unanimously to close the Courthouse from Friday, December 23, at 5 00 P. M., until Tuesday, December 27, and on January 2, 19679 The following Order from Hon. John M. Barron, Judge of the 85th Judicial Distric Court, was presented to the Court and unanimously ordered recorded in the Minutes: "ORDER OF THE DISTRICT COURT "pursuant to Art c1WT5 VACS and all other applicable statutes the Court hereby appoints Frank Joseph Vitopil County Auditor to hold office for a term of two years, from November 15, 1966, to November 15, 1968, and the Court hereby sets his compensation for his services an annual salary from the County General Fund in the sum of Eight Thousand Four Hundred (!8,400.00) Dollars, the identical salary paid the Brazos County Assessor-Collector of Taxes, said salary to be paid monthly in equal installments to said County Auditor, at the rate of $700.00 per month. . ` "It is further ORDERED that this Order shall be recorded in the Minutes of the District Court, and that the Clerk of the District Court shall certify the same for observe to the Commissioners' Court which shall cause the same to be recorded in its Minutes. On motion made, seconded, and unanimously pasoed, the Public Wat9hen$e Bond of Bryan ompress and Warehouse Company and the Bond of Public Weigher of John Rankin Mahan were manimously approved. There was next considered by the Court the request by the Sheriff's Department for a amera, and in connection therewith two bids were presented by the Sheriff's Department, hich bids were, as follows: Gibson'Broducts Company, College Station, Texas, $203.54, &M Photo Shop, College Station , Texas, $189.00. On motion by Dunn, seconded by Porterfield he Court voted unanimously to accept the low bid of ABM Photo Shop. On motion made, seconded, and unanimousll/passed, the Court voted to expend the sum of 75.00 as the County's part of the expense of printing 300 survey reports for the Brazos ounty Mental Health Committee. Q SPECIAL MEETING - NOVEMBER 29, 1966 A special meeting of the Commissioners' Court of Brazos County, Texas, was held in the Commissioners' Court room in the Courthouse in Bryan, Texas, at 10.00 A. M., on November 29, 1966, with the following present W. C. Davis, County Judge, presiding, Raymond A. Nolan, Commissioner of Precinct 1, George Dunn, Commissioner of Precinct 2, C. J. Porterfield, Commissioner of Precinct 3, W. A. Stasny, Commissioner of Precinct 4, and A. B. Syptak, County Clerk. The County Judge submitted the proposed budget for the fiscal (calendar) year of 1967, carrying total proposed expenditures and reserves of $834,000.00 with a recommended tax rat4 of $1.10 per $100.00 valuation. Upon motion duly seconded and unanimously adopted, the Court voted to accept the proposed Budget and to set public hearing thereon. Motion made, duly seconded, and unanimously adopted, by which it was ordered that the proposed Budget for 1967 be filed with the County Clerk and set down for public hearing in the Commissioners' Court room in the Courthouse at Bryan, Texas, at 10&00 A. M. on Monday, December 19, 1960; and that public advertisement of this hearing be made by publishing the following notice in the Bryan Daily Eagle of Bryan, Texas, once each week for two weeks prior to the public hearing "NOTICE OF HEARING ON BRA20S COUNTY BUDGET FOR 1967 "Public notice is hereby given that pursuant to action of the Commissioners' Court of Brazos County, Texas, taken on November 29, 1966, open public hearing will be held in the Commissioners' Court room in the Courthouse in Bryan,-Texas, at 10 00 A. M. on Monday, December 19, 1966, for consideration of the 1967 Budget for Brazos County, Texas, submitted to the Court on November 29, 1966, and now remaining on file in the office of the County Clerk of said county, all in accordance with law. x "Taxpayers and others interested are invited and urged to acquaint themselves with said Budget during the time it remains on file with the Clerk before the hearing. "At the conclusion of the hearing, final action will be taken by the Commissioners' Court of Brazos County, Texas, for the adoption of the Budget for 1967, as finally agreed upon.
