SPECIAL MEE'PING - SEPTEMBER 2, 1966
A special meeting of the Commissioners' Court of Brazos County, Texas, was held in the
:ourthouse in Bryan on September 2, 1966, with the following present
W. C. Davis, bounty Judge, presiding,
George Dunn, Commissioner of Precinct 2; and
W. A Stasny,-Commissioner of Precinct 4.
The purpose of the meeting was to consider bids received by,Mr W. A. Stasny, Com-
aissioner of Precinct 4, for a tractor, and after the inspection of such bids by the Court, on
notion by Dunn, seconded by Stasny, the Court voted unanimously to accept the bid of Bryan
tractor B Implement Company for a Massey- Ferguson Model 165 gasoline tractor for the sum of
.3,467.98, and one post hole digger for $290 00
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned

A regular meeting of the Commissioners' Court of Brazos County, Texas, was held in the
Commissioners' Court room of the Courthouse in Bryan, beginning at 10 00 A. M. on Monday,
October 10, 1966, with the following present

The Court received, approved, and ordered filed as submitted the following reports

Mr. D L Wilson and Roland Dansby appeared before the Court and requested that Brazos
' County convey to the Boy Scouts of the Bryan, Texas, area that property in Robertson County
heretofore conveyed to Brazos County in connection with the building of a road by Robertson

J County from State Highway 6 to the Boy Scout Camp on motion made, seconded, and unanimously ,
• passed, the Court authorized the County Judge to execute a deed conveying the following-
described property to D L Wilson, Trustee for the Boy Scouts of the Bryan, Texas, Area

(Deed Se=ng 40 acres of land, more or less, in the A. Manchaca Survey Abstract #27,
recorded Robertson County, Texas, and being the same tract of land described in a deed dated
Vol 229, May 21, 1935, from Floyd L Cox and Nona Gilbert to D L. Wilson, Trustee, and ;
P. 466, recorded in Volume 109, page 381, of the Deed Records of Robertson County, Texas

_-County) Weang 20 acres of land, more or less, in the A. Manchaca Survey, Abst #27, Robertson
County, Texas, and being the same tract of land described in a deed dated May 4, 1935,
from D L Wilson as Trustee in Cause No 11965 in the District Court Minutes of
Brazos County, Texas, to J. M. Ferguson, County Judge of Brazos County, Texas, and
recorded in Volume 109, page 328, Deed Records of Robertson County, Texas
Mrs. W. M Dowell appeared before the Court in connection with a portion of Morgan
Lane lying southeast of Lots Eleven and Twelve of Lakeview Acres which had heretofore been
dedicated to Brazos County as a road but had never been opened as a road nor used as such but
consisted entirely of a driveway leading up to her house only Mrs Dowell explained that
she owned all of the property adjacent to the road, and it was pointed out that the road as
dedicated extended only a short distance in the direction of her home. On motion by Nolan,
seconded by Dunn, the Court voted to authorize the County Judge to convey the said tract of
land (being fifty feet by seven hundred sixty-eight feet in dimensions and being that portion
of Morgan Lane lying southeast of Lots Eleven and Twelve of Lakeview Acres in Brazos County)
to Mrs W, M. Dowell Commissioner Stasny voted,againet the motion ,
• On motion made, seconded, and unanimously passed, the Public Weigher's Bond of Clyde J
Porterfield, Jr., and John R 'Featherston was approved , r ,
Motion was made by Nolan and seconded by Porterfield that the Brazos County Commission
era' Court accept the provisions contained in Minute Order No. S8457 passed by the .State
Highway Commission on October 3, 1966, for the improvement by the Texas Highway Department of
the roads described below and that Brazos County agrees to furnish all required right-of-way
free of cost to the State
FARM TO MARKET ROAD 2818 From FM Road 60 Northwest to the present location of PX Road 28
And in addition, Brazos County agrees to accept into their road or street system for mainte-
nance the present section of FM Road 2818 eliminated by this relocation
Motion carried unanimously.
