A special meeting of the Commissioners' Court of Brazos County, Texas, was held in the
County Judge's office in the Courthouse in Bryan, Texas, at 2 00 P M. on December 30, 1965,

with the following present
W. C Davis, County Judge, presiding,
Raymond A Nolan, Commissioner of Precinct 1;
a
Clyde J. Portergfield, Commissioner of Precinct 3;
W. A, Stasny, Commissioner of Precinct 4.
The County Judge presented to the Court that, due to the County agreeing to pay one-
fourth of the right-of-way for the underpass on Farm Road 60 in the City of College Station,

which had been approved by the Court and which had cost the County approximately $20,000 00,

paid out of the Road and Bridge Fund, and which funds had not been included in the Budget for

1965, an emergency existed requiring the necessity for such expenditures on behalf of the

County during the year, On motion made, seconded, and unanimously passed, the Court voted to

declare an emergency in regard to such funds for the payment of the County's one-fourth of

the right-of-way for such underpass at Farm Road 60 and to amend the Budget for 1965 to

increase the Road and Bridge Fund from $256,000 to $276,000.
Sheriff J. W Hamilton next presented a request for the purchase of a new automobild for

his Department to replace the Oldsmobile which was badly in need of repairs. and
Sheriff

Corbusier Chevrolet Company for the sum of $1,690 00, plus $256 88 for the installation,of an
air-conditioning unitfor,said car.
Mr A. W. Davis presented to the Court a plat of CARTER LAKE SUBDIVISION in the Thomas
Caruthers League in Brazos,County+ Texas, owned by the Carter Lake Development Corporation,
