On motion made, seconded, and unanimous passed, the Court voted to accept the bid of Otis McDonald's Business Machines for $310.00 a the lowest and best bid, and authorized Mr. Godfrey to purchase said typewriter. The Court next considered the request of Mr. W. D. Burley, District Clerk, to pur- chase a new dry-process copying machine for his office. Mr Burley stated that he had re- quested several companies to submit bids, but had received only one bid and that was from Otis McDonald's Business Machines, as follows 1 SCM Micro atatic Copier Model 44 $1075.00 Less trade-in 25.00 1 Photostat Copier The Court thereupon, on motion made, seconded, and unanimously passed, authorized Mr Burley to purchase the machine from Otis McDonald's Business Machines for the sum of $1050 0 There being no further business, the Court adjourned. REGULAR MEETING - JULY 12, 1965 A regular meeting of the Commissioners' Court of Brazos County, Texas, was held in the Commissioners' Court room in the Courthouse in Bryan, Texas, beginning at LO 00 A. M. oni Monday, July 12, 1965, with the following present W. C. Davis, County Judges presiding, Raymond A. Nolan, Commissioner of Precinct 1, George Dunn, Commissioner of Precinct 2, Clyde J Porterfield, Commissioner of Precinct 3, and W. A. Stasny, Commissioner of Precinct 4. McGee asked the Court to set salaries for their offices at $600 00 per month beginning January 1, 1966, when the new Code of Criminal Procedure goes into effective and Justices no longer will have salaries based on fees and court costs The Court's attention was called to the increased work load, night and Sunday calls Mr Dewey also asked the Court to include in the budget for 1966 a Justice Court clerk, and to provide a court room for the Justices Mr. Dewey further requested per- mission to have a coffee room on the third floor of the Courthouse The County Judge stated that all requests would be duly considered. Judge Davis next presented a bill from the Brazos County Schools for a total of $259.12, for Special trip made to Houston, Brazos County 4-H Club, 4 buses, each made 217 miles, total of 868 miles @ $0 20 per mile, $173 60, 4'drivers at $2138 each, $85.52. Mr. Stasny stated that he had taken care of this by hauling gravel and other work, and Mr. Dunn stated he had done likewise. ' , Judge Davis reported that the Budget would be completed shortly, to be filed and than acted upon in August after public hearing Commissioner Dunn asked permission of the Court to obtain bids on a front-and loader and also on a maintainer, and Commissioner Porterfield asked permission to obtain bids on a " carried, loader on motion made, seconded, and unanimously/ Commissioners Dunn and Porterfield'were authorized to obtain ouch bids { s On motion made, seconded, and unanimously passed, the Court voted to approve all ' reports and to pay all bills which have been properly filed and approved.
