On motion made, seconded, and unanimously passed, the Court voted to accept the

bid of Gibson Products Company for the sum of $144.50.
On motion made, seconded, and unanimously passed, the Court voted to expend $150.0
for a photograph enlarger for the Sheriff's Department

On motion made, seconded, and unanimously passed, the Court voted to pay the sum
of $2,000.00 for 1.2 acres right-of-way owned by the Missouri Pacific Railroad Company at
the northwest intersection of F.M. Road 60 and Old Highway 6, such right-of-way being part of
that agreed to be furnished by the County in. connection with the Underpass at such inter-
section.
On motion made, seconded, and unanimously passed, the Court voted to close the
Courthouse for the observance of the following holidays during the year 1965• New Year's Day
July 5th, Labor Day, Veterans' Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day
On motion made, seconded, and unanimously passed, the Court voted to approve all
reports and to pay all bills which have been properly filed and approved.

John H. Godfrey, Brazos County Probation Officer, appeared before the Court and
presented the following request to buy dictating machine
"Due to the increase in the, number of cases this department is handleing
and will be handleing in the future it is necessary to purchase a dictating
machine This machine will be used to dictate social histories for Juvenile
Court hearings and pre-sentence investigations- for those adults who may be
placed on adult probation In addition it will be used for day to day
summaries on all Juvenile cases reported to this department."
On motion made, seconded, and unanimously passed, Mr. Godfrey was authorized to obtain bids
on a tape recorder and submit same to the Commissioners' Court. „

On motion by Dunn, seconded by Stasney, the Court voted to accept the bid of White's Auto
Stores, it being the low bid.
-On motion by Dunn, seconded by Nolan, the Court voted to pay for repairs on radio for,
Bill Groce in the amount of $127 60, as set out in statement presented to the Court.
The Court next considered the request of Justice of the Peace Jess B McGee for filing
cabinets, and on motion made, seconded, and unanimously passed the Court voted to allow
Justice McGee'to obtain bids on filing cabinets and submit same to the Court

County Clerk A. B. Syptak requested the Court to authorize the purchase of a slightly
used Underwood electric typewriter from C. M. Wright for $250.00, plus an old Underwood
electric typewriter trade-in, in preference to the following bid from Otie'McDonald•
Underwood 16" Scrptor Electric $418 00, Leas one Underwood trade $A $25.00 - $393.00
on motion made, seconded, and unanimously passed the Court authorized the purchase from C. M.
Wright on the used Underwood electric typewriter, with the trade in of the 61d'typewriter.'
There was next presented to the Court the following letter from Southwestern
Engineering Company, P. 0. Box 278, Comfort, Texas, 7800, dated February 10, 1985•s
"Enclosed are six (6) copies of easement forme for proposed buried telephone system
j' to be installed in the Kurten area of Brazos County by The Southwestern States
Telephone Company of Brownwood Texas. Would you please execute three copies and
return them to us at your earliest convenience
