On motion by Commissioner Dunn, seconded by Commissioner Nolan, the Court voted unani-
mously to accept the Plat of Blocks One, Two, and Three of the Bernadine Estates, same being
t ~
located in the Morgan Rector League in Brazos County, Texas, and developed by Charles
Cemino, and the County, in accepting the streets in said Addition, does so without any obli-
gation to build, construct, maintain, or repair any of such streets, all of which shall be
done by the developer.
On motion by Commissioner Stasny, seconded by Commissioner Dunn, Dr. R. Henry r
Harrison, Jr., was appointed County Health Officer for the year 1965
On motion by Commissioner Stasny, seconded by Commissioner Porterfield, the Court

voted to authorize the County Judge to appoint a 1965/Brazos County Historical Committee.

In accordance with advertisements duly published as result of action of the Court on
' January 11, 1965, the Court received the following bid and proposal of The First National
Bank of Bryan, Texas, to act as Brazos County's depository bank for the two-year period be-
ginning February 8, 1965, to February 8, 1967, The following proposition having been found t
be the beet and only proposal received by the Court, on motion duly seconded and unanimously

adopted the Court voted to accept it and name The First National Bank of Bryan at Bryan,,

Texas, as the official County Depository for the coming biennium. In accordance with this

as the county depository of Brazos County, and shall upon presentation pay checks drawn on it
by the county treasurer of Brazos County, Texas on 'demand deposits' accounts in such
depository, and all checks drawn upon any time deposit' account upon presentation, after
the expiration of the period of notice required in the case of 'time deposits,' and shall
faithfully keep said county funds, and account for same according to law, and shalt faith-
fully keep and account for all funds belonging to the county which are deposited with it
under the requirements of Article 2547, Vernon's Annotated Revised Civil Statutes, and
shall include State funds collected by the tax collector, and shall pay the interest at the
time and at the rate hereinbefore stipulated on 'time deposits', and shall, at the expiration
of the term for which it has been chosen, turn over to its successor all the funds, property,
and other things of value, coming into its hands as depository, then and in that event this
contract is to be and become null and void and the securities above shall be returned to the
pledggor otherwise to remain in full force and effect, hereby specially authorizing the
Commissioners' Court of Brazos County, Texas, to sell at public or private sale, with or
without notice to the pledgor, the securities, or any part thereof, and apply the proceeds
of sale to the satisfaction of any indebtedness arising by virtue of the violation of any
or all the conditions of this contract.
"The above provision is given in addition to any remedy the pledgee may have in any
suit brought on this contract in any court in this State
"Any suit arising out of or in any way connected with this contract, shall be tried
in the County of Brazos and State of Texas in any Court therein having jurisdiction

"NOW, THEREFORE, the above bounden pledgor, the First National Bank of Bryan of Bryan,
Texas, (No officer or director of which is a member of the Commissioners' Court),
agrees to the following to-wit,
"1 That it will safely keep and faithfully disburse the school funds according to
law, and pay such warrants and/or vouchers that may be legally drawn on the funds by
legal authority, and that it will account for and report annually a statement of such
to the Commissioners' Court and to the Commissioner of Education, as is required by law;
"2 That it will comply with all the provisions of the laws of the State of Texas
relating to school fund depositories, that it will perform all duties therein
specified, and will execute any and all instruments and documents necessary to
evidence its obligation to this county

"ORDER OF THE DISTRICT COURT
"Pursuant to Article IVF"Atff aan a other app7'icable statutes the Court hereby
appoints Frank Joseph Vitopil County Auditor to hold office for a term of two
years, from November 15, 1964, to November 15, 1966, and the Court hereby sets
his compensation for his services an annual salary from the County General Fund
in the sum of Seven Thousand Two Hundred ($7,200 00) Dollars the identical salary
paid the Brazos County Assessor- Collector of Taxes, said salary to be paid
monthly in equal installments to said County Auditor, at the rate of $600.00
per month

District Court, and that the Clerk of the District Court shall certify the
same for observance to the Commissioners Court which shall cause the same to be

There was next presented to the Commissioners' Court an itemized list of
Home Demonstration Agent Expenses for 1964 in the total amount of $24 83, and upon motion
duly seconded and unanimously passed the Court voted to reimburse Miss Emily Ritter in the
amount of $24.83 spent for such expenses.
On motion made, seconded, and unanimously passed, the Court voted to approve
the Public Weigher's bond of J. D. Conles
There then came on to be considered the matter of appointing Election Judges
for Brazos County for the year 1965 Whereupon, after discussion and nominations by various
members of the Court, on motion duly seconded and unanimously adopted, it was voted to

On motion made, seconded, and unanimously passed, the Court voted to expend $150.0
for a photograph enlarger for the Sheriff's Department

On motion made, seconded, and unanimously passed, the Court voted to pay the sum
d of $2,000.00 for 1.2 acres right-of-way owned by the Missouri Pacific Railroad Company at
the northwest intersection of F.M. Road 60 and Old Highway 6, such right-of-way being part of
that agreed to be furnished by the County in. connection with the Underpass at such inter-

section.
On motion made, seconded, and unanimously passed, the Court.yoted to close the
Courthouse for the observance of the following holidays during the year 1965• New Year's Day
July 5th, Labor Day, Veterans' Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day
On motion made, seconded, and unanimously passed, the Court voted to approve all
reports and to pay all bills which have been properly filed and approved.
