REGULAR MEETING - JUNE S. 1964
A regular meeting of the Commissioners' Court of Brazos County, Texas, was held in the
Commissioners' Court room in the Courthouse at Bryan, Texas, beginning at 10.00 A. M. on
Monday, June 8, 1964, with the following present
W. C. Davis, County Judge, presiding,
Raymond Nolan, Commissioner of Precinct 1;
George Dunn, Commissioner of Precinct 2,
Clyde J. Porterfield, Commissioner of Precinct 3; '
W. A. Stasny, Commissioner of Precinct 4, and
A. B. Syptak, County Clerk
The Court received, approved, and ordered filed. as submitted, the following reports-

B. V. Elkins, Veterans Service Office, for month of May,' 1964;
William T. Sistrunk, County Agent, for month of May, 1964,

The Court received, considered, and approved the following reports from County and
Precinct Officers showing official fees of office collected and remitted to the County Treasu
according to duplicate copies of Treasurer's official receipts attached thereto:

On motion duly seconded and unanimously passed, the Court voted to approve Public
Weigher bond of Homer B. Adams.
On motion duly seconded and unanimously passed,.the,Court voted to approve all reports
and to pay all bills which have been properly filed and approved.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned.
The foregoing Minutes, beginning and concluded on Page 444, were examined and approved
in on the 13th day of July, 1964

Sheriff J. W. Hamilton appeared before the Court and requested authorization to employ
• additional Deputy Sheriff and Jailer, it being pointed out that he was only using two active;
Deputy Sheriffs in addition to Mrs. Taylor, the office secretary, and two Jailers, each of
whom was working twelve hours per day. After much discussion, on motion made, duly seconded,
and unanimously passed, the Court voted to authorize the employment by Sheriff Hamilton of an
additional Deputy Sheriff at an annual salary of $4,100 00 and an additional Jailer at an
_ annual salary of $3,480 00, each of such to be effective August 1, 1964,
On motion duly seconded and unanimously passed, the Court voted to approve all reports'
and to pay all bills which have been properly filed and approved.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned.
