On motion made, duly seconded, and unanimously passed, the Court voted to grant such
right-of-way easement to the Southwestern States Telephone Company, subject to the said Tele-
phone Company maintaining, repairing, and moving if necessary, such lines as required by the"
Commissioners' Court in connection with such roads.
Commissioner Nolan next requested permission of the Court to sell for junk an old truck

owned by his Precinct for the sum of $L00 00 in cash, said truck being over tan years' old a
incapable of being repaired to a usable condition On motion made, seconded, and unanimously
passed, the Court voted to authorize Commissioner Nolan to sell said truck for $100 00 cash.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned.

'jucended by Commissioner Nolan, said Minute Order Number 54524 was unanimously accepted and

the County obligated to comply therewith Said Minute Order being, as follows-

"In BRA20S COUNTY a FARM TO MARKET ROAD is hereby designated
• extending from F. M-iFoaT-159 td=can, Southeast to State Highway 6,
a distance of approximately 5 5 miles, subject to the condition that
Brazos County will furnish all required right of way clear of obstructions
and free of cost to the State ,
"At such time as the County shall accept the provision of this Order and agree
to the furnishing of the required right of way, the StateHighway 'Engineer is
directed to proceed with the engineering development and construction of the
project in the most feasible and economical manner, at an estimated cost of
$100,000, and to assume the road for State maintenance upon completion of the
construction herein authorized
"This Order to subject to acceptance by the County and if not accepted within
90 days of the date hereof, the action herein contained shall be automatically
cancelled.

The Court next considered the request of John H. Godfrey, Adult and Juvenile Probation
Officer for the County, to attend the annual Texas Probation and Parole Conference in San
Antonio on May 11 through L3, which request had been approved by Hon John M. Barron, Judge of
the District Court. On motion made, seconded, and unanimously passed, the Court voted to
authorize Mr Godfrey to attend this conference and that his expenses be paid by Brazos Cbuntq
The Court next considered the following request from the University National Bank of
College Station, Texas, dated May 8, 1964•
• "In our tax rendition for 1963 we rendered a total valuation of $205,800 00, when
actually our rendition should have been $130,300 00 We paid a total tax, state
and county, of $2,819.46 Had we rendered the correct valuation it would have been
$1,785 LL an overpayment of $1,034 35 This, of course, covers both state and county.
We respectfully request that you credit our L964 tax with the $1,034.35
"Our capital in December of 1963 was $200,000 00 and our undivided profits $125,000.00.
Had we rendered the correct valuation our rendition would have been $130,000.00 plus
2 Lots we own in Bryan which we rendered for $300 00
"It will be appreciated if you will give this application your consideration and lot us
know as soon as possible the action of the court.

On motion made, duly seconded, and unanimously passed, the Court voted to refund the am of
$1,034.35 overpayment to the said University National Bank as per their request,
On motion made, seconded, and unanimously passed, the Court next voted to approve Public
Weigher bonds of each of the following Homer Adams, Donald Conles, and Clyde J. Porterfield,)
Jr.
On motion made, seconded, and unanimously passed, the Court voted to ■it-as a Board oP
Equalization to examine the tax rolls of the County on Friday, May 15, 1964, at nine o'clock
M., in the office of the Tax Assessor and Collector, ,
On motion duly seconded and unanimously passed, the Court voted to approve all reports
and to pay all'biLle which have been properly filed and approved.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned
