SPECIAL MEETING - FEBRUARY 14. 1964
A special meeting of the Commissioners' Court was held in the Commissioners'
Courtroom of the Brazos County Courthouse in Bryan, Texas, at 10 00 o'clock A. M., on F- f
Friday, February 14, 1964, with the following present
W. C Davis, County Judge, presiding,
Raymond A. Nolan, Commissioner of Precinct No 1, F
George Dunn, Commissioner of Precinct No 2,
Clyde J. Porterfield, Commissioner of Precinct No J,
W A Stasny, Commissioner of Precinct 4, and L
A B Syptak, County Clerk
On motion duly made, seconded and unanimously adopted, the Court voted to
pass the following resolution +
t' "That it be requested that the State Highway Department make a
` preliminary study of a proposed location for an area development
road around the cities of Bryan and College Station, connecting
Bryan and Highway 6 North, to determine, if possible, the
approximate cost to the County for such road
There was then presented to the Court, a bill in the amount of $158.24, for
damage to an automobile,owned by Jack Lester, Jr , that had been damaged by one of the
Deputy Sheriffs in a Shariff'd-pepartment car, in backing out of the parking area
designated for the Sheriff's office, the saLd Jack Lester, Jr., being at the courthouse
in response to a all-one for jury service
On motion made, seconded and unanimously passed, the Court voted to pay the
sum of $158.24, for the repairs to Mr Lester's car
A request was presented,to the Court for a reserved parking space,by Honorable
John M Barron, District Judge, and on motion made, seconded and unanimously passed, a
apace in the parking area on the East side of the courthouse was eeserved-and to be so
designated for the District Judge
There being no further business, the Court adjourned.
