Syptak, has certified to the Commissioners, Court that the 40 names signed to such Petition are duly qualified voters of the said Justice Precinct No 1, and the Court finding that the above- named persons are all freeholders of Brazos County and of Justice Precinct No 1, which Petition was filed herein on the 8th day of February, 1964, praying that this Court order an election to be held in such subdivision for the purpose of enabling the qualified voters thereof to vote on the proposition, "For the legal sale of all alcoholic beverages" or "Against the legal sale of all alcoholic beverages," and it further appearing to the Court that such Petition is in due form, and that no election for such purpose has ever been carried in such subdivision, that no election to determine said question has been held therein within twelve months prior to the filing of such Petition, that the hereinafter described subdivision stands designated as one within which such an election may be held, and that such Petition should be granted, IT IS ACCORDINGLY ORDERED that on the 7th day of March, 1964, such date being not less than twenty nor more than thirty days from the date hereof, an election shall be held throughout Justice Precinct No. 1 of Brazos County, Texas, at the regular voting place in Millican, Texas, to determine whether or not the legal sale of all alcoholic beverages shall be legalized or prohibited within said area Such election shall be held and conducted and the returns thereof made in accordance wit the laws regulating general elections, in so far as the same are applicable, and the laws applicable to the sale of alcoholic beverages of such character, and the County Judge shall issue the order therefor and cause public notices to be given as provided by law. On motion made, seconded, and unanimously passed, the regular voting place in Millican, Texas, was designated as the polling place for such election to be held in Justice Precinct No 1, and the following Judges were appointed to hold such election- Ewing Prescott, Presiding Judge y Mrs Ewing Prescott, Associate Judge Mrs. Byron Simpson, Associate Judge Mrs. Pearl Vance, Associate Judge. Commissioner Stasny brought before the Court the fact that the change of the r right-of-way of Farm to Market Road 2513, has resulted in a tract of 49 acres of land formerly used as sight-of-way, now being vacant and that same had been enclosed by fence by Vance and Thurmond On motion made, seconded and unanimously passed, the Court voted to advertise for bids and abll this tract of land, provided same is owned by the County. On motion duly seconded and unanimously adopted, the Court voted to pay all bills which have been properly filed and approved. There being no further business, the meeting adjourned
