Hair, Courthouse Custodian, presented to the Court three bids for a buff- ing machine, said bids being, as follows Van Gard Chemical Company, Bryan, Texas $145 00 ri Brown Chemical Company, Teague, Texas 176 00 Criswell Janitorial Service, Bryan, Texas 143 65 1 Mr. Nair stated that, in view of the fact that the buffing machine as quoted by Van Gard Chemical Company of Bryan, Texas, included with it a brush and buffer and that neither of ' the others included such items, the machine offered by Van Gard Chemical Company was actually the cheapest of the three On motion made, seconded, and unanimously passed, the Y. Nolan, Commissioner of Precinct No 1, C. J Porterfield, Commissioner of Precinct No 3, and W. A. Stasny, Commissioner of Precinct No 4 The purpose of the special meeting was to consider the purchase of certain items of photographic equipment owned by Deputy Sheriff W. J. Everett, Jr , and Richard J. Fronter- house The County Judge informed the Commissioners that this equipment had been purchased by these men approximately a year ago and used by them in the work of the Sheriff's Department exclusively, and due to the fact that Richard J Fronterhouse had resigned his position with the Sheriff's Department and was no longer employed by the County, he desired to sell his interest in said equipment but that Deputy Sheriff W J. Everett was unable to purchase same. It was the recommendation of the County Judge that the County buy the entire stock of equip- ment from both of said men for use by the Sheriff's Department On motion made, seconded, an unanimously passed, the Court voted to purchase all of said dark-room and photographic equip- ment from W J. Everett, Jr , and Richard J Fronterhouse for a total sum of $500 00, for use by the Sheriff's Department The next item of business was the appointment of a County Health Officer for ' Brazos County for the year 1964, and on motion made, seconded, and unanimously passed,,the Court appointed Dr Richard H. Harrison, Jr , as Brazos County Health Officer for the year 1964, and the County Judge was instructed to notify-State Department of Health of such 4 appointment. There being no further business, the meeting adjourned , SPECIAL MEETING - JANUARY 31, 1964 A special meeting of the Commissioners' Court was held in the Commissioners' y' Court room of the Brazos County Courthouse in Bryan, Texas, at 10 00 A. M. on January 31, 19640 with the following present Raymond A. Nolan, Commissioner of Precinct No 1; George Dunn, Commissioner of Precinct No 2, and W. A. Stasny, Commissioner of Precinct No. 4, presiding.
