"Thank you for the opportunity you have given us to be of service to your county.
"As agreed during the court meeting November 12, 1963, we have set aside the week of
February 24-28 to conduct the Equipment Maintenance and Safety Course for your road
and bridge employees. A letter of instruction will be mailed to each commissioner
about two weeks prior to the class dates. This will also serve as a reminder.

A special meeting of the Commissioners' Court of Brazos County, Texas, was held

W. C. Davis, County Judge, presiding,
Raymond A. Nolan, Commissioner of Precinct No. 1,
George Dunn, Commissioner of Precinct No. 2, and
W. A. Stasny, Commissioner of Precinct No 4
The purpose of this special meeting was to consider the acquisition of right of wa
for proposed Farm to Market Road extending from State Highway 21 at the west City-limits of
Bryan southeast to Farm to Market Road 2513, which Farm to Market Road has heretofore been
•
approved by the State Highway Department by Minute Order No. 53113,and which Minute Order wa
accepted by this Court at the regular meeting on July 8, 1963. Coftiesioner Stasny reported
that he had been unable to secure right of way across tracts of land owned by Thurmond and
nd wife.
Vance and John F.Konecny7 On motion made, seconded, and unanimously passed, the Court voted
to direct the County Attorney to proceed with condemnation proceedings as quickly as possibl
to acquire right of way across the property belonging to the above-named persons, as
necessary for such Farm to Market Road

SPECIAL MEETING - DECEMBER 13, 1963
A special meeting of the Commissioners' Court was held in the Commissioners' Court
room of the Brazos County Courthouse in Bryan, Texas, at 10 00 A. M. on December 13, 1963,
with the following present-
W. C. Davis, County Judge,
Raymond A. Nolan, Commissioner of Precinct No. 1,
George Dunn, Commissioner of Precinct No. 2; and
W. A. Stasny, Commissioner of Precinct No 4.
The purpose of the special meeting was to consider bids for the purchase of a truc
by Precinct No. 2. Commissioner Dunn reported that he had received two bids on vehicle and

equipment to be installed therein, as follows Corbusier Chevrolet Company $2,675.84,
•
International Harvester Company $2,632 50. On motion made, seconded, and unanimously passed
the Court voted to accept the bid of the International Harvester Company and to authorize
Commissioner Dunn to purchase said truck, to be paid for out of the Road and Bridge fund
allocated to Precinct No 2
On motion made, seconded, and unanimously passed, the Court also voted to enter
q into a contract with the Missouri Pacific Railroad Company for the relocating of telephone
poles on right of way for proposed Farm to Market Road 2818, on such terms as to be agreed

upon by the Court. '
On motion made, seconded, and unanimously passed, the Court voted to close the
Courthouse for Christmas holidays on December 24, 25, and 26, and oh January 1, 1964, for
New Year's Day.
There being no further businese, the meeting adjourned.
