HomeMy WebLinkAbout1963-10-24-0900AM-Special, s 418 October 14, 1963 The County Judge next presented to the Court a recommendation that the Court, pursuant to State Law, affix the sum of one dollar cost to each criminal and civil case filed in the County and District Courts of this County, to be used in the purchase and maintenance of a County Law Library. In support of this proposition, Honorable John M. Lawrence III, an attorney of the Brazos County Bar, also appeared before the Court and urged the creation of said County Law Library. On motion made, seconded, and unanimously passed, the Court voted t take this recommendation under advisement, and authorized the County Judge to receive bide on shelving to be used in such County Law Library in the event the same was created at a Later date. Motion adopted to approve all reports and to pay all bills which have been properly' filed and approved. WHEREUPON, the meeting adjourned SPECIAL MEETING - OCTOBER 24, 1963 A special meeting of the Commissioners' Court of Brazos County, Texas, was held in the office of the County Judge in the Brazos County Courthouse in Bryan, Texas, at 9 00 A.`M, on October 24, 1963, with the folloding present - W. C. Davis, County Judge, presiding, Raymond A. Nolan, Commissioner of Precinct No. 1, and W. A. Stasny, Commissioner of Precinct No. 4 The purpose of the meeting was to consider the purchase of a new front-end loadet by Commissioner of Precinct 1. There being no further business, the meeting adjourned.
